XXX State of Union, the sequal to XXX (which put Vin Diesel on the map) wasn’t bad.  I’m not used to IceCube in a role like that but he pulled it off beautifully.  To top that it was nice seeing Scott Speedman.  Of course this was sandwiched right between the year he did Underworld and Underworld Evolution.  I was upset he wasn’t in Underworld Awakening but then none of the original cast was outside of Kate Beckensale (understandable for Michael Sheen who is doing the TV show Masters of Sex).  But then that’s why it’s the one out of the bunch I don’t have.

I am really looking forward for the new Jurassic Park film, Jurassic World which is supposed to come out next summer. The last movie I saw was That Awkward Moment, I absolutely loved it because Zac Efron is one of my favorite actors. I still need to see Neighbors, I've been slacking latest in watching films!

I have to say that while I preferred Shailene Woodley’s Tris in Divergent to Jennifer Lawrence’s Katniss, the endings of the Hunger Game Movies are much better than the ending in Divergent which made no sense to me other than to remind myself it is based on a set of books.

Watching Divergent and the ending is so weird.  They just run away which is stupid.  They should have killed Jeannie Mathews (Kate Winslet’s character) or at least made her confess to the public that she tried to over throw the government so that her faction the Erudites could take over.  Not only that but that she was crucel in the attempted extermination of the fraction Abnegation.  They not only had Tris’s dad Andrew (Tony Goldwyn’s character) but they also had the head of the government Marcus Eaton (Ray Stevenson’s character) with them.  The two head government leaders.  Once the Dauntless faction is released from the mind control everything should have just gone back into place.  They never said that Erudite actually succeed into taking over so why did the group just run?  I get that it’s based on a set of books but still.  When you watch the movie it should be complete as is.  At least the Catching Fire movies had satisfying endings.

I wish Pepe was in Muppets Most Wanted more.  I love him!  I watch the Muppets Wizard of Oz just for him.

Watching Muppets Most wanted.  While I didn’t care for the opening number of ‘We’re doing a sequel,’ I truly loved Constantine’s ‘I can give you anything you want.’  I even enjoyed the ‘questioning the Muppets’ song.  So while it doesn’t have as much laughs as the Muppet Movie, the songs are way better.

I just saw Hercules.  Dwayne Johnson is fantastic as Hercules.  Hercules is a great film.  I would recommend that you see it.  My friend and I really enjoyed it.

I was watching the Keanu Reeves The day the Earth Stood still.  Now I happen to be a fan (which is why I watched it in the first place) but honestly I don’t believe it was as bad as the critics made it out to be.  Somehow Keanu’s Klaatu as a stoic alien fit the role.  And I liked the fact that he becomes attached to Jennifer Connelly’s Helen Benson and Jaden Smith’s Jacob Benson that he realizes not all humans should be destroyed in order to save the planet.  I don’t get why he leaves at the end when he should stay.  One because he would be welcome with Helen and Jacob and two because you know there will be consequences to his actions for failing to kill all humans in order to save the Earth.

I can’t say that I was ever impressed with Aaron Eckhart until I watched I Frankenstein.  I mean he was ok as the president in Olympus has fallen but he wasn’t as good as Two Face as Heath Ledger was as the Joker.  I wouldn’t say he ruined a movie but there was nothing about him that was extraordinary.  Not until I Frankenstein.  I can’t picture anyone else doing that role.  It was certainly made for him and I was so blown away by his acting in the movie.  I honestly don’t know what I was expecting, but I can say I was not expecting to be amazed at Aaron Eckhart.  I simply watched the movie based on the topic since I like to watch the occasional horror movie especially when it’s done at a ‘sophisticated serious level.’  Happily I am glad I was wrong and hopefully the masterful acting skills he exhibits in I Frankenstein he will continue in his next set of movies.

I had read a list someone made a few months ago of He-man and the masters of the universe (a casting for the movie the characters deserve).  I have to say I agree with it.  Brad Pit as He-man, Jack Nicholson as Skeletor, Samuel L. Jackson as Hordak, Lena Headey as Evil-lynn, Framke Janssen as Teela, Sean Bean as Man-at-arms, Andy Serkis as Orko, Mickey Rourke as Beastman, Aaron Echart as Trapjaw, Benicio Del Toro as Tri-Klops, Tilda Swinton as Sorcerress, Rutger Hauer as King Randor, Charlet Rampling as Queen Marlena, Frank Langella as King Miro, Eric Bana as Makaneck, Mark Addy as Ram man, Ray Stevenson as Man-E-Faces, Anthony Mackie as Buzz-off, David Wenham as Stratos, Mike Epps as Melaktha, Iain Glen as Sy-Klone, Andrew Pleavin, as Fisto, Nonso Anozie as Whiplash, Alfie Allen as Kobra Khan, Ludacris and Jerome Flynn as Two bad right and left head, Mark Boone Junior as clawful, James Purefoy as Zodak, Michael Shannon as Webstor, and Morris Chestnut as Spikor.  Oh yeah, with that list of actors/actresses I’d be the first in line at the box office.  I hope Hollywood is reading this.

So I’m watching Muppets Most Wanted and I have to say it’s pretty good.  Once you get past the corny ‘We’re doing a Sequel’ song the movie takes off.  It’s kinda like what they did with Cars 2 where the sequel is a spy type movie.  The fight scenes with Constantine where he breaks out of the prison are definitely top notch.  Can’t really say it’s funny though.  Now the gag reel is hilarious but the movie itself not so much.  That being said, it’s just as good as the Muppet Caper.  In fact I would say it is better.  Now is it better than it’s predecessor The Muppet Movie?  Honestly, I would have to say no.  What made the first one was it was a play on itself.  Like the first Expendables.  This sequel is a play off a robbery movie, such as the Muppet Caper.

We've watched all 3 Expendable, I like them all, like watching all the big action stars. I like I Frankenstein too. Hope they will make a sequel to it which is not very positive because they did not make a good money on that movie, which makes me sad because It is a good movie. But who knows maybe they will make more money on blue rays and DVD and etc.
