I hat grocery shopping so much, especially at the beginning of the month. It is so busy and people are so annoying and stupid/ Too bad there isn't an easier way to get food!

You might want to try buying your groceries online.

we usually go in the evening on a weekday, around 7-8pm.
compared to a weekend afternoon, the grocery store is
actually pleasant!
[ we all have a place in history. mine is in the clouds. ]

I try to go grocery shopping on Sunday mornings or Wednesday evenings. Both are church days so the grocery store isn't a busy. :) Have you tried shopping online? There are lots of great deals online! You can sometimes buy your everyday foods in bulk for a fair price!

I try to go early.  I have to take my boyfriend to work at 645am so on my way home is usually when I stop at the store.  I don't like going when there are a TON of people.  I live in a small town so our stores are always packed!! For some reason when I go early in the morning there aren't that many people there so it makes it a lot easier for me to get my shopping done! I also use coupons and I don't like to be a pain in the butt when they're busy!

:sad1: I so have to agree with you....................grocery shopping is my worst chore.  First, I'm disabled so I am exhausted by the time I finish and there is only one store in our area that really ever has anyone available to help you out and then when I get home my husband is worse disabled so I have no help there.....and people are rude, they drive grocery carts the same way they drive cars lol they cut you off, no waiting for chivalry either because it ain't happenin' so I end up making a million trips and just doing the minimum so I can get in and out as fast as possible.

I do too its crowded more and more people are using the electric carts leaves no room in an isle for anyone else so I have started just watching sales and using coupons at my local grocery store and buying a few things at a time several times a week works well I don't over buy actually spending less

You said it. I actually go to a smaller more expensive store just to avoid the crowds at the supercenters.  :dontknow:

I find that going first thing in the morning is best. I usually try to hit the store as soon as it opens. I have tried going in the evening...but find that it isn't as good as in the morning.

I work at Walmart, so if I need anything that day I get it and check out.  Only at Christmas and Thanksgiving is when I really buy a lot of grocerys.  I make out my list and I stick by it, no extra items.  I am very mindful of what I buy as I live on SS and have to work at Walmart to make ends meet.  I just started to use coupons last year and that has saved me some money.  I like to go to where they have double coupon and get more off.  In this day and time, every little bit helps.  Hope everyone has a nice Sunday and may God bless each of you and keep you safe.

I also prefer grocery shopping first thing in the morning.  I avoid the Walmart supercenter--it is always crowded and I always feel like I am about to be run over by a cart--electric or otherwise.  First of the month shopping is bad just about everywhere in this small town.  The other days I have found are bad are Wednesdays.  At first, I couldn't figure out why that happenned at one particular store.  Here it's senior citizen day.  Everyone over 55 gets a 10% discount.
