Is everyone excited about Christmas this year? Is it something that you are looking forward to? Have you started shopping yet?

No, the celebration of a religious plagiarism of previous pagan winter solstice festival isn't anything to get excited about for those who do not subscribe to such superstitious beliefs.

Looking forward to the day when such religious superstitions are no more but, that's unlikely to occur within generations, due to the tenacity of religious blind faith.
One can lead a horse to water however, if one holds the horse's head under, that horse will drown.

Yes, I am excited about Christmas!!  I have 6 grandchildren that will make it all the more special.  And, yes I have started my Christmas shopping.  In years past I was usually thru with my Christmas shopping by Thanksgiving but with prices rising the way they have I won't be thru that early.  This will be the first year we won't have Christmas dinner at our house and I really have mixed emotions about that.  One of our daughters moved back to our town and she insists on having Christmas dinner at her house.  Of course I'll be preparing some of the food to take to her house but it just won't be the same.  I'll be lost when we get back home that evening and I don't have a big mess to have to clean and straighten up.  lol  Might not be too bad on that count.  How about some of you other FC members?
