Let me also make 1 thing clear in the bible...

Since the reference is to superstitious hearsay, unsupported by factual evidence, ('metaphysical' evidence factually supporting supernatural claims, not physical archeological finds), the source is not reliable and therefore, dismissed as extraneous.
One can lead a horse to water however, if one holds the horse's head under, that horse will drown.

Jesus is in fact God. (I'm sure this discussion is bound to get messy since it involves---The Trinity! :o)

There are several verses that support this:

John 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

John 10:30  I and the Father are one

John 20:28-29  Thomas said to him, “My Lord and my God!”
Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed
(note:Jesus doesn't rebuke Thomas for worshipping him.)

There are many other places to note the trinity,(Matt 28:19,2 Corn:13-14,Mark 1:10-11)
And to save us some time I'll admit right off the word "trinity" doesn't appear in the Bible. :)
The concept,however,does.

Faith-based opinions related to unsubstantiated metaphysical claims are not facts.

The name Jesus means Jehovah is salvation.

Col 1:15 shows Jesus was firstborn of all creation.

This wont get messy...its clear Jesus was Gods son......The scripture that Jesus said I have made your name known the only true God and the one u sent forth...cant get much clearer.

Let me add..why do you think Jesus is referred to as a begotten son?Because Jehovah created him directly...all other things were created by the 2 of them.Jesus is referred to as Gods master worker.

I gave the example in Genesis...Let US make man...NOT Let me make man.Us is plural.

I and the father are one.....Jesus didnt mean that literally....

He represented everything his father stands for.....you see it on earth...a son represents his father in business etc.

Why would he say that then say the father is greater then i.....makes no sense.

Rockets got fired at Israel this weekend according to a Christian site that shares news with me by email. I already signed the petition that is being sent to the United Nations. This petition says that those who fired rockets are seeking to become a terroirist lead nation and want the United Nations to grant them statehood. This goes against the law of authority that the United Nations has. This petition makes that clear and asks the U.N not to grant these people statehood. Go to aclj.org to find the link. (I am not supposed to give that link out according to forum rules. Please stand for Israel and pray. God talks about blessing those that bless Israel and cursing those that curse them. I stand with Israel.
Yes i really hope that Israel is okay.  They are a chosen people and deserve peace

I am definitely praying for the leaders and the people of Israel.  They are in a stormy and scary time.  Even their children are being fitted for gas masks to have with them where they go, because of the threat and carrying out of missiles and rockets aimed to their country.  Thanks for posting this.

Does the bible say the righteous person is acceptable to him?
Does the bible say God lets it rain on righteous and unrighteous?
Did Jesus say to love our enemies?
Did Jesus say whoever takes up the sword will die by it?

Enuff said.

Why is Israel responding in Gaza?

130 rockets were fired to Israel from Gaza in the last 72 hours. (and here today, it's 11/14)
Almost 1000 rockets were fired in 2012.
More than 1,000,000 Israelis live under a threat.

This comes currently from the IDF Spokesperson Israel Defense Forces; The Prime Minister of Israel

Well, I have a different view on Israel. I feel that they are also partly to blame for all the terrorism going on in this world. The United States should not support any country in the middle east.

This isn't a one sided affair, there are plenty of reports of Israel attacks that have killed children in Gaza.  Time for us to get out and let other countries deal with their own foreign affairs.  The US has neither the money or the men to spare to get involved in another senseless war.

Let me also make 1 thing clear in the bible...

Jesus NEVER refers to himself as God.He always gives his father that recognition.

John 17 :26
Math 6 :9

I have made your NAME known...the only TRUE GOD and the one you sent forth Jesus Christ.

Let your name be sanctified

Luke 22:42 Remove this cup from me,let not my will but yours take place

There are many more too.So please dont ask me if i read bible...Jesus was Godlike yes......But he was Gods son and i dont see many here give the father that title or mention of name.

Or maybe you feel those scriptures are Jesus talking to himself.

Jesus was Gods master worker and begotten son.1ST of all creation Col 1 :15 firstborn of all creation

Master worker...in Genesis Let US make man....notice its not Let me...its Let us

You have everything wrong. Jesus is part of the trinity. Father, Son, Holy Ghost are the trinity. Read Matthew ch 1.
Lord Jesus Christ is the only way for eternal salvation from sins. Jesus loves you.
