Christmas wreaths
« on: November 29, 2012, 05:37:59 pm »
Does anyone else think that Christmas wreaths are just slightly more expensive than they should be. Some of them even cost more than Christmas trees!

They do seem to be a bit ridiculously hig priced consideringthey are be made from tree trimmings. I used to get them for inside to get te tree smell while using an artificial tree but they never smell as strongly as a cut tree anyway and dry out quickly so I stopped.

I buy mine from the Boy Scouts and they are pretty reasonable I think.

Never saw the need to buy one, but now that you've mentioned it what's a reasonable price?

I haven't bought one but I did see some prices and they seemed kind of high. I think making one can be fun and cheap and you can make it your own for you and your family

I just did not buy any Wreath this year. I usually leave the buying of wreath to my mother or grandmother, because us young people think about other things.

Definitely agree with you here. My husband and I made a homemade wreath this year and actually looks nicer than most of the wreaths we see in the stores. The prices are outrageous. I once saw this 5 inch wreath that cost $25!! Really?  :bs:

If you want to buy one from the store, wait until after Christmas when they are 50% off or more. That is the ideal time to buy one.

I usually wait until after Christmas to buy one myself they can be outrageously overpriced, I usually get it for half the price.

No I don't think they are expensive and usually under $20 for a large one with red velvet bow.
