New Year Financial Goals
« on: December 26, 2012, 11:08:29 am »
What are your financial goals for 2013?  Do you have any specific plans to reduce expenses or increase income?

Anytime I can reduce expenses I will do so but it's hard with prices going up more and more.

Yea considering  gallon of milk is almost up to 5 dollars depending on where you go..I can't believe the prices of a lot of stuff these days.  Hoping that I can reduce the water bill the electric bill and everything else included but that is not at all possible....

I am thinking about making one that is net worth related so that I will be more motivated on the (controlling) spending side of things.

Finances and Prosperity

In Deuteronomy 28:12 the Word states "The Lord will open for me His good treasure in the heavens and give rain to my land in its season, and will bless all the work of my hands." Take this prayer and make it personal. You can substitute the appropriate need for "rain to my land" and "work of my hands." For example:

In Jesus name, I thank you Heavenly Father that You have opened Your good treasure in the heavens for me (money that I need right now) and You are giving rain to my land (abundant provisions) in its season "right now is my season, Lord.) Thank You for blessing ALL the work of my hands in Jesus name.

Psalms 30:6 says "in my prosperity I said, I shall never be moved." Substitute "say" for said and make this a personal and present tense prayer. God's Word makes it plain that it is His desire to prosper us in every area of our lives!

my goal is to use more coupons like an extreme couponer does.I will get toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, shampoo for free or close to free. Try do go more to the dollar tree where they now take coupons. Also not spend on stupid things and when things are on sale that i need buy a bunch. Save change is another good thing .

I have been at my new job for a little over 2 months and had some unexpected time off. I am hoping that now I will start to budget and already set up some savings so I feel good- just looking for the big picture to start showing in a few months after all my hard work

This year is to focus on saving up that 6 month cushion account, and start saving up for a new car.  Still hard to justify buying a new car when my current car still gets better gas mileage than most new cars on the market...  ::)
