What do you think about wearing a white wedding gown if its your 2nd marriage?

Personally, I think that color of wedding dress should always be the bride's choice regardless of how many times she marries. It is her wedding, her day, and should be what she likes. It's funny what traditions we have dumped by the wayside through the years, but funnier the ones we desperately hang on to.

I wore a white gown at my second wedding, it was great.  Nobody said anything and I enjoyed it.

If you find a dress that fits and looks good on you, then wear it!  It truly doesn't matter what people think.  If you want a big celebration with a white dress for your wedding whether it's your 2,3 of 4th, YOU SHOULD DO IT! it's all about you and everyone deserves a happy day every once in a while

I think if it's a second marriage, I'd see a justice of the peace and use the money to put down on a house, and only you care what color you wear after marriage #1.

Of course traditions are not really traditions anymore.  Now a days you can wear whatever you think will be appropriate and what you fell good in.  It's your wedding day so you should wear what make you feel RADIANT.  It seems to me that you're not comfortable with the possibility of others "whispering" because of the color of your dress.  (otherwise I don't think you would be asking for opinions)>  If I were you I would go with off white.  There are so many gowns that are just as beautiful as the ones in white.  My mother owns a wedding store in our town and I have seen thousands of dresses and some even come in a gorgeous mocha color, and depending on the color of your wedding there are some in a very pale pink.  Since it is your second marriage I would even experiment with dresses that you wouldn't normally try on.  It will be some much fun not to follow any rules.  CONGRATS ON YOUR MARRIAGE!

Go ahead and wear a white dress. Traditions like wearing a white dress only if you are a virgin are becoming less common now, anyway. I'm wearing a white dress, and my fiance and I have two kids.

i agree. wear whatever u want, coz it is ur day. who cares what other people think..i mean..my sister in law wore white when she married my brother and we all knew she wasnt a virgin coz she was pregnant and about to pop the next month. yes usually it does mean u are a virgin but now adays thats hard to come by coz we all know how good "doing it" feels. u can go with the traditional white gown or u can mix it up and put a little color into ur gown like white and red. i think those colors together are awesome. and pink or red brides maids dresses.

I am hoping to get married soon, and my wedding gown will be an ivory color cause that is what will make me happy. I also dont look good in pure white. Do whatever best suits you, andd i agree with the person who said whatever makes you happy. This is my advice.

I think you should really do what you feel like. I mean who goes by those old traditions anymore anyway? I'm sure you're not the only one who ever wore a white dress on their 2nd marriage, not to mention the people who are on their 3rd and 4th and so on. Do what you want to do, it's your day.
