It is getting ridiculous.  I shop at bi-lo and I just look at the weekly deals each week and that I generally how I shop.  It has worked out pretty well for me so far.

I don't shop the grocery stores all that much but, anytime I do I notice the price increased. It is constantly going up!What irritates me is that gas is going up also, after a decrease over the summer. What's up with that?? Isn't it less expensive to produce the winter blend than the summer Blend of gasoline??

Yes, the grocery bill keeps rising, and yet the experts on tv keep telling us that things is better than 4 years ago. Look, the fEd is printing more money like crazy, this drives up the prices for things like gas and food. This is called inflation.

I think it is the same all over. I do believe that the milk will not be going to $7 a gallon as someone else mentioned since they passed the farm bill. We buy a 1/2 a beef and a whole pig every year to save $$$. It is hard to come up with the money all at once but it sure saves when buying groceries if you only have to buy chicken and fish! Plus it really is cheaper, we paid $2.25 per pound for our beef and $1.90 per pound for our pig and that was the meat plus cutting and wrapping. They will cut and wrap it any way you want. You cannot find those kind of prices on beef and pork in the grocery store, even the 75% hamburger is almost $3 a pound. We buy alot of groceries at Walmart Supercenter and I also go to Aldis and also a local grocery store for sale items and specials.

We have a little grocery store right here in the neighborhood but I usually wait until I get the sales paper in the mail before I go over there cuz it is very high priced and Lately I have been going to Walmart for Mild and Bread saving at least 5.00 there and getting cereals there too and snacks, So I am gonna keep going to Walmart cuz I don't have money like that

went to cvs spent $55 got $56 plus in savings - only buy what you need and only buy on discount - at the grocery store if you count the items in basket multiply by $5.00 you'll be very close to amount spent - before obama it was $3.85 - i know because i track these things - yesterday at the grocery store average cost per item $4.82 after discounts $3.27 - government does make a difference - this week most people lost over $1000 from their yearly income - expect more losses

It is pretty crazy up here in Denver.  We can't get out of Costco, on a bi-weekly basis, for less than two hundred and fifty dollars.  Then we drop another one hundred and fifty dollars at Safeway. Plus one or two side trips a week for things that we have forgotten or need to spice up a meal.  Eight hundred to one thousand dollars a month and our kids haven't even started eating as much as I did when I was a teenager!  Gallons of milk are slated to be more expensive then a gallon of gas...ouch!  When I was growing up steak was the expensive commodity and we only ate it once a month...now it seems to be one of the least expensive meats to purchase.
