I have a problem using my debit card on small purchases. That is where most of my overdrafts come from. I need to start taking $100 a week and us that for lunch, gas, and other items I might need throughout the week.

I just use cash to set a limit on how much to spend.

I usually carry very little cash, so almost all of my purchases are done with my debit card.

I shop online more than in stores, which means I use debit and gift cards more than cash.

I usually use my debit card unless it is a very small purchase. That way it saves my cash on hand and saves trips to the ATM.

I have to say for the most part I love using my Debit Card. It is so easy to manage! However, sometimes I wish I had cash on me. I told my husband that we would start getting at least $20-$40 in Cash that way we would be able to use both. I think it is best to have a balance, but I have to say it's less  messier in our Wallet with using the Debit Card only!

I use my debit card most of the time.  I usually only carry $20 with me for small purchases.  I find it easier to use the debit card then carrying a lot of cash.

I use both cash and debit/credit cards.  I try to keep some cash on hand.  The reason I try to keep cash on hand is because some businesses' debit machines do not work.  If I have cash on hand, I pay for my items with cash when the debit machines don't work.

I got rid of my credit card[ too many instances of fraud].
I use my debit card; I am a Schwab customer.
I have a design business that I use for my cash flow. [ small purchases; a couple of grocery items]

I get my overdrafts from doing this as well so I want to start using more cash. I will make a big purchase with my card and have like $10 left in my account. Then they will decide to approve all my small purchases at once :angry7:. Getting a $35 fee for a $2 soda at the gas station really sucks.

I get paid in cash so I typically pay with that.

It's weird.  I tend to go in cycles.  Sometimes I will use nothing but cards for a really long time and then other times I will use nothing but cash.  Lately I have been using cash.
