In my opinion, legalizing pot is stupid. If you smoke it, the cost of purchasing it would get soooo ridiculously high once the government stepped in and taxed it. Have you seen how much the cost of cigarettes has risen over the last 15 years? Think about the "trickle down effect" all the way down from cost of buying to cost of using (health care and life insurance).

Personally, I think it should stay illegal.

Falconer02, Thank you so much for saving me the time that I was going to invest in replying to some of these people who need to stop their tirades of ignorance, and learn about a subject before discussing it. Of course my fathers favorite saying was "You can't teach stupid people that they are stupid"  :BangHead: I fully agree with every statement you made. I am a daily pot smoker, I own a construction company, and have a gross annual of $100,000+. I however do not smoke when I’m working, I don't smoke when I’m driving, I treat it like alcohol or any other drug and use responsibility. If pot was regulated like so many other legal intoxicants out there, not only would we have an increase in revenue from taxes, but we lessen street crime by removing a major profit center from almost all gangs. If anyone can get it now, what use is killing the guy down the block for a half lb now?? Anyway, Falconer02, thank you again for echoing my statements, and this joints for you!

You people support legalizing a drug that ruins peoples lives (Not just the person doing it, but there friends family and children if they have kids) and then kills you?

...People don't think.. :angry7:

Enough people go against the law and smoke weed.

What are you talking about?? Where in the world have you seen or heard a person die from smoking marijuana?? And furthermore ruin there life. Come on do some research on the subject before posting ignorance like this. Marijuana is from the earth, not man made. Marijuana helps aid with the pain from cancer, relieve the symptoms of multiple sclerosis, Anxiety, menstrual cramps, Glaucoma, arthritis pain, headaches & many other problems, all studies of research have proven what I have just posted. If you need further prove that this plant does more good go to Norml.com actually its an awesome site that helps people all over with battles on the issue of marijuana. I would LOVE for you to post a link stating that someone did die from marijuana use. Hmmm lets see how long it takes you to post a link or give the information to us.

I'm curious as to what would happen with it. Would it be looked at as strictly medicinal or casual (like cigs)? Because if it were casual, I'd think the prices would go way down since we would have so many companies producing it. Of course the taxes would probably be set high, but would it be less than what people pay now? I'm not the financial expert on weed but there'd be only one way of finding out, right?

Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

IMO any type of smoking is stupid, but I wont tell someone else I don't know not to do it.
I just don't want to be smelling that *bleep* at all.

Just to be funny, thats all we need is a bunch of fat, dumb and lazy people. :bootyshake:

I honestly don't see it happening and those that really want it to happen don't know how it is going to really effect them.

I do not smoke it and have no desire to, but my opinion is why not legalize it? It is natural and unprocessed. I do know people that have smoked it and have been around people that was under the influence of it and the effect that it has on one's impairment is comparable to that of alcohol. Why is alcohol legal and weed not? Even for medicinal purposes, it is illegal? I do wonder what the reasons why are.

It should be legalized. As long as alcohol is legal, and killing how many every year? Do you think alcohol sales would drop??
