I say if you have any doubts. Do not be with the person.

i stayed in a relationship for five years because of the kids then one night he threw my son against the wall and i said enough is enough and put him out --so i agree dont stay because of the kids--- now i am not saying not to try and fix things if you can but if its just not feeling right then maybe the grass is greener --i am happier and the kids are happier and they don't have to see us fighting all the time--turns out he didnt want any part of any of us and left the state and we never hear or see him !!!

I agree wholeheartedly with that fact.  My daughter's father used her as leverage against me, so I fixed that idea when she was 14.  I sent her to live with my sister in Mississippi and got rid of him.  I am divorced from him now and married to a good man.  If you figure that staying in a relationship when you are miserable is the way to go, I am a walking testimonial.  I was married to a man I knew only a month because my mother saw dollar signs when she heard he was in the Army.  I was with him for 3 years and my life was miserable until he decided he didn't love me and didn't want to be married to me.  I later found out that we were not legally married for the first 6 months because his ex-wife was still married to him at the time.  She told me a lot of things about him, which explained why he thought he was divorced from her; her parents told him that.  I gave him the choice of him filing for the divorce because I was going to use the information to ruin him if I had to file.  He lied and said he caught me cheating, and we were divorced on my 23rd birthday.  I learned one thing from him; get to know a man before you marry them.  I was married to a drug addict who I got to know at least 3 years.  I gave birth to my daughter and he managed to make my life hell in that I would buy things and he would actually sell them for little or nothing.  I discovered he was not the man I thought he was when he owed the drug dealers a lot of money, stuck his tail between his legs and ran like a rabbit.  My life and my daughter's were at risk because those dealers planned to kill us.  He crawled back, and I took him back like a fool.  If I had love for him, I frankly did not care anymore.  He told me one night he loved me and surprised me when he asked me if I loved him; I remained silent because at that point, it did not matter; and he answered his own question: NO!  I told him what he had done to change my feelings.  I had finally had enough in 2000 when the police showed up and I had no idea they were even in the house.  I protested while being detained and the police released me because I had no record.  Later, the big lummox told me I nearly sent them to jail; the fact is, he had a record longer than my arms were wide.  I told him he didn't have to worry about it anymore.  I went on vacation to Mississippi, stayed 3 weeks and made up my mind to not return to him.  I could not tell you if we were married or not; he was married before and he kept lying.  Yet our names were on a marriage license and I wanted it over.  I filed for divorce in July 2011 and was divorced from him September 26, 2011.  You never know who you may be marrying and, if your children are involved, they may use them against you.  Run, don't walk to the next exit!!! ;D >:( :o ???

You had a bad marriage and faith played you wrong but some people do have happy marriage.  For instant, my cousin got married at a young age and her marriage was blessed until she past away.

I promise a lady that I will not leave her, but if she cheats, I break that promise. then I usually get begging every day from the lady that I dumped. I never take a lady back that has cheated on me,
as she has been defiled by another man. what makes one partner stray on another?
