BBQ!
« on: February 23, 2013, 10:48:20 am »
mmm who doesnt love bbq! I don't eat it a lot but when I do its just amazing. I sometimes catch Man vs. Food on tv and it just makes my mouth water all of the great food he tries especially bbq. Im about to go to a place today for lunch actually, called Back Forty. I havent tried it before but my family likes it. My favorite place is probably Famous Daves. However I live in California therefore I probably have not experience "real bbq" as I might have in the south. I am actually from the south but do not get to visit a lot. Im a total california girl. But does anyone know of any great bbq spots in Cali? Or your favorite in general?
 :)

My favorite is a brand called "Cookies BBQ" from the grocery.  It's only available in the mid-states.  So now that I am in the south, I make my own.  The Neely's on the Food Chanel have a great recipe.

Don't wait until the summer LOL! Once you start Neely's cooking, you won't be able to stop. Their recipes are at

Maybe I haven't had the best one, but the thought of BBQ never gives my mind the least bit of tingle.

in our family we love bbq items we bbq the chicken , meat and ribs with more spices i mean they all are lil spicy and taste good with deep fry bread we made diffrent varieties of patties (we called them kabab) and sometimes we bbq them on grill or some time we make it on a grill pan and then give it a smoke and then its taste become like bbq ....and served it with special kind of homemade sauces and yogurt and deep fry bread and vinegar dip onions

I love any kind of BBQ meat(atleast so far). My favorite kinds of bbq meats are chicken, steak, and ribs. The most favorite of the three that I enjoy is bbq ribs. I love how the meat just melts into your mouth right from the bone. I don't care if the bbq ribs are baked or grilled. It is just good, good and goooood  :)!

There's a place in Ohio called Olde Carolina or something like that. They have pretty good BBQ. Ribs, pork, all kinds of side dishes. They have good sauce and dry rub. I don't know where all they are located... Hopefully near you. Lol

You guys have made me long for my birth country in a big way. There we don't call it barbecue, we call it "braai". It usually happens outside on a charcoal or wood fire with lots of salads and plenty beer. Yummy!
