It is my 62nd birthday today - that in general made me smile on its own but my ex-sister in law sent me a minion singing birthday card on facebook and it was so cute it really made me smile.

I went to Facebook to see if there was a new photo of my new grandchild posted by her mother (my daughter) there and there was! The photo showed the baby smiling with big bright open and sparkly eyes. It cheered me up trememdously.

I asked my 4 year old if he liked his new preschool teacher and he said, "I don't have the clue. There was a storm, I saw that's the truth!" (It's monsoon season here) He cracks me up.

The Sunday School kids today all wore Super Hero masks and capes as they kick off the new school year.  We have been studying the Heroes of the Bible all summer long....Noah, Moses, Joseph, Deborah, Ruth, David, etc and finally Jesus.
