Chicago Manual for Writers or Strunk & White

In debate over which is best for authors of fictional novels to use for editing.  What's your opinion?  Strunk & White or Chicago Manual?

I believe my husband used Strunk and White a lot, although he has several different manuals.  Makes for great fun when trying to find a definitive answer to an editing question as each manual often has a different "right" way to do something.  Use of commas was a real brain twister as the use for this form of punctuation is changing toward using fewer and fewer.  Good luck!
