The Simpsons is a great show and I still watch the new episodes but I think it will end eventually. They will eventually run out of ideas and funny jokes and the ratings will drop so much that they will have to take it off the air.

I think the simpsons will here for almost an eternity    The show is geared for kids, but I know many adults who would not miss one episode.

I am not a huge fan of The Simpsons.  Mainly that is because of Bart.  While I understand that Groening named Homer, Marge, Lisa and Maggie from members of his own family, my trivia is that Bart's name was chosen from the word "brat", and he is that!  I have no idea when it will end, but there has to be an ending someday.

As long as it has a strong fanbase and views it will keep rolling season... Btw I don't think the couch gags will run out of ideas because looking at past to recent one, it's still strong

I'm sure it will end some time - even popular shows end eventually.  Just enjoy it while it lasts - I gave up on it years ago myself.
