it scares me to think a 15 year old can get this without talking to her parents first I know way to many girls that were 17 and 18 getting this and using way to often how safe can this be?

I think it is great that it is more accessible. Teens make mistakes and not all parents are the most understanding with their teens sex lives or are in denial about what their teens are really up to. The morning after pill is not an abortion pill it simply could prevent the sperm from entering an unfertilized egg if it hasn't already happened, that is why the chance of pregnancy goes up the longer you wait to take the morning after pill. Teens shouldn't need to get an abortion or have to have a kid when they are still so young just because they need parental approval. Anything that slows the process for a teen to get the morning after pill will increase the number of teen pregnancies.

I'm not for or against teenagers taking the pill, because today's society has extremely changed and social networking is taking over these kids lives.  The more love, and attention that parents give still sends some teenagers to do what they know their parents would not approve of.   :star: :peace:

Adults needs to support each other before we can all get together and teach the kids of today, how to cope with pressure from their friends and family that teach or do the unthinkable to and or with our kids. :BangHead: :angry7:

My daughter was 18 when she got pregnant now she is telling I should have given her a gibbs hit. Nothing that I said to her worked. She now has 5 kids. I told her to get fixed. She is nuts for having so many.

I don't have anything against the morning after pill. I just think it is bizarre that a 15 year old could get one without a parent's knowledge.

My daughter is in high school. She has to have on file in the nurse's office a permission slip signed by me and a doctor so she can take ibuprofen at school after she has her braces tightened. there was a case in Tacoma last year where elementary school kids got bad sun burns at field day. the mom sent sunscreen with them but the teachers wouldn't let them put it on because there was no permission slip.

I wonder what it is going to do to their bodies, afterall they are only 15 and then what next 10-14 years getting them. I don't know what is happening to our world but it all seems wrong. Of course i don't believe in abortion except in incest, rape or when the woman has a bad medical problem such as downs. or her life is threatened. The kids are running wild now and no respect for adults.  I feel that we need to go back to spanking( not beatings) and teach them respect or they or they don't get all their pretty toys Back to basics only

That's insane, we should be preaching abstinence not birth control.

It's too young for them to have access to this. I say parents can give them birth control, but not the morning after pill.

yes, because works so well. teaching abstinence is the same as putting a loaded gun in a kids hands and only saying by the way sweetie please don't shoot anyone . teens have sex, teens have been having sex for as long as human have been around. we have a moral code that no humans in history have ever lived up to. sex is fun, especially if you have detailed instructions on how to do it.

Making choices like this is a life-altering decision.  At 15, your hormones are raging and, while you take that pill the morning after, there is a greater chance of becoming pregnant.  I do not agree with this; the choice for birth control should be left to the parents.  A 15 year-old is not responsible enough to make such a decision. :male: :female:
I agree!!

People are going to have sex no matter what you do. Why do you think we wear clothes? So we don't lust for the opposite sex.

I don't agree with it . The parents need to know. So what if they take this pill and later on their bodies end up sterile or worse they catch some kind of desease. And who know how long before they tell their parents. There is so much bad stuff out there. Maybe if they told their parents about having it and they have to go to the dr. a few times to be checked out they wouldn't be so quick to have sex. I don't know this world is going to he**  in a handbasket. When we were growing up sex was almost considered taboo until married. Once in a while a young lady and boy would slip up but was nothing compared to today.
