Kids say the darndest things
« on: May 16, 2013, 05:22:30 am »
Just wanted to share a few of my 4 year old son's latest quotes (keep in mind he has been tested to be double his age in intellect)

Son: "Mommy I want to be a monster for Halloween"
Me: "OK, What kind of monster do you want to be?"
Son: "I'm gonna be a monster that eats people with bad credit"

Son: "I want to be an artist when I grow up"
Son (5 mins later): "Actually mom, I want to be a gynocologist" (Yes, he apparently knows what a gynocologist is"

 :D :notworthy:

He says crazy stuff like this all the time! So there will probably be more to come!! What kind of crazy/weird/creepy things have your children said to you?

My now 6 year old would say crazy stuff like that all the time, but it somehow always seemed to make sense. The other day we were at a restaurant and the coaster said put your mark on the world. He took his crayon and drew a line on the word world and then said to me I put a mark on world. I laughed and laughed because he just doesn't seem old enough to be able to make jokes like that. When he was 2, he took all his books off the shelf and put them in a big pile in the middle of the room. I came in the room and said I'm gonna beat your butt if you don't get these books all picked up. He looked at me and said just beat my butt and then you pick up the books. I was laughing so hard I had to leave the room.

When I was first learning to skate, a little 4 year old girl who was skating on the same practice ice with me starting holding my hand as we skated around the practice area.  She would talk to me week after week about various 4-year old subjects.

One week she asked me if I had kids, and I said no.  She was "shocked" then told me that I could adopt...in fact I could adopt her!

Her dad was standing on the side of the rink, and I asked her if her mom and dad would be sad if I adopted her.  She said "yes".  Then after a bit of pondering she told he I probably shouldn't adopt her.  I agreed.   ;D

That reminds me of my daughter when she was nearing 5.  It was the morning after Thanksgiving.  I was awakened by her telling me to wake up.  Since I was sleeping good, I told her to go back to bed.  She insisted that I wake up and told me that she saw the covers move.  I questioned her, "You saw the covers move?" She said she did, and she didn't see but one head.  I asked her whose head did she see?  She responded, "Pookie".  It turned out that her oldest brother and his girlfriend were in the living room doing the wild thang.  I was telling the lady down the hall about it and Pookie's girlfriend was there.  She looked at my daughter and told her that she and Pookie were moving the couch.  My daughter cracked me up when she looked at the girlfriend and told her "I don't know what you think, but couches don't move like that!"

She is 27 years old with 3 children of her own.

I have 2 grown dughter's that amused me often while growing up but the REAL FUNstarts with the Grandbabies! The youngest is 8 now and I bought her Mom a potted Blue Hytichina for Mom's Day Sunday. The next day my daughter texts me and said Anneliese (the 8yr) won't let her have her flower, that she took it away from her last night. So knowing my littlest heathen like I do, I called them. Alicia (my oldest daughter answered the phone, and I ask her "What's the matter honey? Why won't Anneliese let you have your flower? She replies that Anneliese said it was her's and even played lego's with it last night so it wouldn't feel lonely(I think I may have been the one responsible for that thought process. I told her plants were living things and we need to be respectiful :D) So I told Alicia to let me talk to Anneliese - she was already hollering in the background let me talk with my Nanny! So I asked Anneliese why she took Mommy's flower away from her and she said "OH Nanny! She can't have that plant - she kills every plant she has! That plant should belong to you and me Nanny, because you are the Gardner (she decieded this when she was 6yrs old and I had her help me start my spring seeds/plants) so it belongs to you and me. So I told her not to worry and I would teach Mommy how to garden too. I don't know if you can teach her, she doesn't even go to school now. I promised I would give it my best effort :cat:

My sisters 3 year old boy was talking to her about when he grows up. She asked him what he wanted to be when he grew up and he replied, Im not going to grow up! he said this in a very mad way. Her mom asked why he wasnt going to grow up and he replied... because I dont want to look like daddy. she asked, why dont you? daddy is a very nice looking grown up. He said I dont want to grow up like daddy cuz he is old and wrinkled!  OMG! How that made us all laugh! I guesss he thought when you grow up, we all DONT get wrinkled. Oh, And by the way, His dad is only 43 and NOT wrinkled... guess he thinks our skin is suppose to be smooth as a babys!  LOL

This one comes out of the mouth of my at the time 4 year old grandaughter.  The situations was that both her parents were at work the afternoon she was scheduled for shots.  So I had been proding her along with don't you think it would be a good idea to do this and that and she was rolling along just fine until the moment she got the shot and her eyes opened wide and screamed, "BAD IDEA Papa!  Bad Idea!"
