You can love two different people at the same time.  It is just that you love each person differently because they are different people.

I think it is possible to like two people and admire their personalities.  One might have a special quality that the other doesn't and vs versa, but to really LOVE someone, only ONE can do that.  It will need to be that special person that you cannot get out of your head.  Someone that will satisfy you in each and every way, physically and emotionaly as well as care for you and be there when times get tough.  Who of the two will go that far for you?  think about that.

I know what you are going through... I had two guys I liked, both are successful in business, both we have chemistry, one observes the world like me while the other is fun to go out with, and is very optimistic.  I had to decide, so I picked the optimistic guy.  Now, am I in love? Now that we know each other? I'm not sure... I guess I let time tell so I'll be his friend for now.

Think about your question, and ask yourself if this issue was presented to you by a friend, what would you say?  Think with your mind and not your heart and you will answer your own question.

Good luck!   :)

I have had this problem as well, its definitely possible, she needs to decide who she loves more though. She unfortunately cannot be with both.

I think there is a difference between love and commitment. I believe that love is something that you cannot control a person can be in love with many people love is an emotion emotions will be there weather you want them to be or not. Commitment is a choice if you were in a relationship and broke up with someone and found someone new do you stop loving you former partner? Well if a persons says yes than I wonder if that person ever really love their former partner in the first place. I may be in love with a few but I choose to commit to one.

It's possible to love a lot more than two. What about your grandparents, parents, siblings, children, etc? You may have to decide on one or the other (unless everyone's really cool with each other :o) if you're talking a monogamous committed relationship and even then you don't necessarily stop loving the other, just that you've decided to not act on that part of your feelings. Think on this ... if one little change in your life had made it so you didn't meet one of the people you're in love with, would you still love the other? What if they were reversed? If you answer yes to both of those then of course it's possible to love more than one person in whatever way you're referring to.

Why does everyone say you can only love one person?  The same reason people say gay people cant be married.  A marriage must be between 1 man and 1 women,  blah blah blah.  Stop trying to dictate other people's lives with your own opinion.  If she says she genuinely loves 2 people, then in her heart and mind she genuinely loves 2 people.  Let her live her own choices.  If it ends up bad then she learns something about her life and her own personality.  If it works out then maybe she's just not a monogamist.
My personal opinion, be a great friend and just be there for her regardless.  Don't try to talk her out of it if she truly believes it, just be a shoulder to cry on if it goes bad, and dont rub in "I told you so" if it does.

I don't believe it's possible to love more than one person at once. And if someone thinks they do or can, they've got great conflict and need to figure out EXACTLY what they want.

I don't think that you can love two people. I believe that one you are just lusting after and the other is really the mate to your soul.
