I'm sorry to hear about your dad. I will pray for him and your family.
Please remember to take care of yourself too. Having a ill family member you sometimes forget to take care of yourself. If you don't take care of yourself then you may be unable to help care for your family member.
You are all in my prayers Take care  :peace:
Be grateful for what you have and you will receive more than you ever expected

If you believe it you can achieve it.

AW! I know the feeling. My Mother just got out of the hospital. She's been going in and out for a year now. She was a smoker when I was a little child. Once we got into the church we are now she quit, she hasn't smoked for over 33 years now. The doctor said her lung are only working 50% due to her smoking. You think that since you stop smoking your ok, but no your not it gets you later like it did my Mom. Wish you well with you Dad, take good care of him.

mill8277 ~I know how you feel, I spent all of Dec.2008 in the ICU & slept in the waiting room. My husband came down w/mersa it's not deadly if you're healthy but when you have diabetes & your kidneys are shot to hell, as well as a triple bypass fighting mersa was really hard. He beat the mersa but he pass in the rehab. center, personally, I wished they'd let him stay in the hospital even after recovering from the mersa cuz they didn't have basic medical equipment @the rehab. which was a place for recovery, he barley survived the mersa & I think he had a stroke but they had no equipment that would monitor his existing medical problems.

I'll call upon the Higher Powers to help you & your dad get through this. I'll also call upon my husband, though he's no longer here; everytime I have critical problems & issues....I call to him for help & some how after I do that, my problem(s) suddenly are easy to solve.

Also, make sure you question everything, they do to your dad. Even if it's getting him admitted to a recovery center, make sure that it is the appropriate one for him according to his condition. Make sure he, doesn't get mersa; I say this because mersa, is found in highest concentrations a hospital; every hospital! In the weaken condition your dad is in; it would be very hard to fight mersa.

Be strong, think positively; try picturing the illness leaving your dad's body; see him in you mind's eyes your dad strong, & healthy again. It's a good exercise cuz it helps to occupy your mind in positive thinking @the same time, helps in passing the time in which you'd be just sitting there worrying. good Luck & please keep us posted.

I'm so sorry for the loss of your husband.  That would be so difficult.  What you said here is such an encouragement with a lot of compassion.  That helps me to help see my mom strong and well in my mind's eye and in my heart, just a little better.  She died in 2006.  Thank you!
