I agree with you, but people watch this junk if only they would stop we might have good tv again, I think it all started when writers went on strike and good comedies went out of style

Every time I find a well written, well acted, promising show-it gets dropped. I'm not sure if America wants dumb tv or they think that's what we want.

I agree, there are so many reality shows on now.  I liked them years ago when they first aired, but now most are just plain stupid!

I like some reality shows, but some are crazy.  I do like Surviors and the singing show and the cooking shows.  I like the reality shows.

There are shows that should not have been taken off the air.  Some of these shows nowadays should be taken into the back yard and buried.  I was a fan of Law and Order:  Criminal Intent; they took that show off the air, which was a huge mistake, in my opinion.  I like Criminal Minds, NCIS, NCIS:  Los Angeles, The Big Bang Theory, Two Broke Girls, Mike and Molly, Bones, and Undercover Boss.  I like Hawaii Five-O (the original version); the new version is not one of my favorites.  I have seen every rerun there is; name it, I more likely than not, have already seen it.  My husband is a fan of the Westerns.  When we subscribed to DirecTV, he chose to order the Westerns, although he had to pay for it.  He now wants to get rid of the cable.  I am looking for a job, so I will be able to pay for it and my Satellite Internet subscriptions.

I don't even know what's on any more..I do have a television, but I haven't turned it on in probably 10 years  :o

Guess I should give it away..

I do watch PBS Mystery on my computer and sometimes things like Miss Marple or Sherlock Holmes on youtube.

Yes, everything seems to be recycled. My guilty pleasure is a certain reality show. I look forward to the new episode each Monday. Mainly , I watch a lot of Investigation discovery, american greed, biography, history, and other reality cold case, murder documentaries. Even those seem to be reuns and recycles most of the time.

I completely agree! The good shoes don't exist anymore bc everything is "REALITY" tv....
Seinfeld, Friends, Cheers, those were the good shows!!!

The Best TV shows that we have watched in a while came from HBO.  We are thoroughly enjoying "Game of Thrones" and are now currently having to rewatch episodes until the next season.  We do enjoy Dancing with the Stars, So You Think You Can Dance, Survivor, Mike and Molly, Blue Bloods and yes, for whatever reason, I always get addicted to Big Brother (which starts tonight!!! June 26th).  Another show that I never miss is Days of Our Lives.  We tape it every day and it's the last show we watch at night before going to bed.  I've been watching Days since 1969 when my husband was in Vietnam!

I do enjoy a few shows that are on now, but I agree that there's nowhere near as many as there used to be.  I hate how more often than not, I'll end up liking a show and it gets canceled after only a season or two.  Sometimes I won't even watch a show anymore, because it looks like something they'll be cancelling quickly.

Times change...so TV programming. TV networks do not like people to live in a dream world . It is the reason for which they are providing so many reality TV shows.
