Has anyone seen After Earth?

I saw it the other day with friends. The critics slammed it but I actually really liked it! There's a coming of age story, family values, aliens. What's not to like? Plus it's nice to see some diversity in the science fiction genre. I only wish it was available in 3D but it was still a pretty cool flick.

The film looks pretty somber,with Will playing a very dour guy.(Laurence Fishburne probably was made for the role.)

The film looks like all those "Man in the Wilderness" films (that I hated with a passion) that were out in the 70's,only updated for the 23rd century.I'll pass.

Considering the people involved, Will Smith, and the director that at one time made really good flicks, and the almost limitless financing they had available... this is without doubt the WORST MOVIE EVER MADE!!

A million thumbs down on this pathetic film. Do NOT waste 5¢ of your money to see this tripe...

Will and Jaden Smith acting together in a sci-fi is enough for me.  I can't wait to see it!

I thought it looked horrible and the reviews seem to be confirming that. Really just seemed like an attempt make Will Smith's son a star.

This film is absolutely no credit to Will Smith at all. Frankly I cannot imagine why they even released this 'thing'. I am a Will Smith fan, and this is a true disappointment. Sorry to all those that love Will, I don't think you will be favorably impressed with this effort.
