The irony. Of course we are our own best doctor. Doctors know how to make $$ off from their patients.

they usually argue with the patient too because they still think they are right, and they leave a ton of stuff out too.

I totally agree. I recently saw an "herb" doctor... He looks at your eyes and can see your issues...
Believe it or not, 97% of what he told me was RIGHT on.... It's worth a shot and it's ll herbs which can't hurt me!!!

How true.  We are infinitely more acquainted with our own bodies than our doctors are.  It's good to get their advice.  After all, they have all that knowledge and experience under their belts, but if your gut feeling tells you to follow another path, then I believe you need to explore your options further.

I agree that we are our own MDs.  We do a lot of research to form an opinion and know how our body will react.  I understand what my doctor says and recommends, but form my list of what I will take as meds.  I've always believed in natural/alternative medicine, but will resort to surgery, if absolutely necessary. :female:

I think so too.  I use to work at the doctor office, and my boss use to ask patient what wrong with them to write a precription instead.  Some patient came in and request to test a lot of stuff even my boss didn't know.  Even though she's a doctor.

Doctors don't even care about suggesting dietary changes, but just give prescriptions for lots of meds. They just don't care about patients.

used to know more than the patient.
nowadays, the patient knows more than the doctor.

That was before people found out that the doctor was taking money from the pharmaceutical companies for prescribing one drug over another..whether it was the best for the patient or not.

I won't take anything until I research it for myself.

I got tired of being an unpaid guinea pig.
