Yesterday was a day from hell.

All I know is the 13th of every month I get superstitious.  I never liked the 13th. It seems everything goes wrong for me on this day. Yesterday I was scheduled to work and I worked my regular shift. Well, for some odd reason my boss says the most ridiculous thing to me. She heard something from the HR MANAGER that I had no clue where the product was on Wednesday. So, not true!! I sold a lot of my product on Wednesday. Why would she say this to me?? My feelings were hurt and on Wednesday she told me I did a great job. So, can someone please explain to me why this is happening to me? All I know is I have been in Retail for 20yrs. and  I think after yesterday, it is time to move on to something better. I will not tolerate this from her or anybody else. This is wrong!! It is unfair and here is my favorite part. A couple of weeks ago their was a meeting with the store manager, my boss and the Demo Team. Well, no one was happy with what was said and the only time my boss opened her mouth was to only recognize one person, saying he did a great job making the bacon and the eggs. And this person is a Cashier and only helps the Demo  team when needed. So, everyone was confused and shocked with what was said.  My boss is the worst boss ever!!

I'm sorry you had an awful day   but I applaud you for having the strength to move on to something better.  Some jobs are suppose to offer the chance to move up, but in reality you will always be stuck exactly where you are, which isn't a problem if you are contempt with your current position but obviously an issue that can keep u up at night if you aren't.

Also, try to stop thinking of the 13th as automatically being a bad thing.  The Law of Attraction states that we attract what we think about so you're serving yourself a disadvantage by going into the day thinking it's going to be horrible.

I agree that if you stop thinking that the 13th will be bad, it might stop.  Sorry you had a bad day.  Try to make a goal for July that the 13th will be "just another day" and see what happens!

Yeah its a known fact that people that believe they are lucky, are more lucky. Same with the opposite. Try not thinking that and see what happens.

Sorry to hear you had such a bad day. But I agree, stop thinking the 13th will only bring bad things and the bad things will stop. It's just another day

If you believe that, on the 13th, that you will have a bad day, you will.  If you look at the 13th as being an ordinary day and expect good to happen to you, it will.  It is unfortunate that you had those things to happen to you, but you admitted that the 13th has never been one of your favorite days.  It is what you make of it that determines how things will turn out for you.  I have an ex-husband who would go to jail on Friday, the 13th, and it did not matter what month it was.  Just tell yourself that your day is going to be great, and it will.  Good luck, my dear.

The problem is that there are a whole lot of jerky bosses.  You might move on and find a good one and you might not.  So just make sure that you are moving to something that is better for you.  Bosses are like a box of chocolates, "You never know what'cher gonna get."

Here is a different perspective.  July 13th is my birthday.  It has always been a great day, especially Friday the 13th.  I think it's what you believe and make of it.  To tell you the truth, there is much superstition in the world because where I was born, they didn't put the 13th, they put the 15th.  My dad told me this a number of times.

February 13 is my daughter's birthday, and she is the best thing that ever happened to me - along with my husband.  Try to stop thinking about your superstition, and I bet things will be better.  I've had a couple of part-time retail jobs, and I wasn't crazy about them.  However, you never know if you change jobs how the next boss will be.

Superstition runs everywhere. How many high rises, hotels etc, have a 13th floor. I think they do, but you just don't know it. It is fun to think about, but as many in this string have stated...... It is a state of mind. Look forward to the 13th as a day of good, surprise, and happiness, and especially Friday the 13th. Keep positive and I think you will see something happening on those days, as you will be tuned in to the good.
