Lack of Energy
« on: June 20, 2013, 06:01:09 am »
Like the title says, has anyone ever experienced a lack of energy? I have. I am also going through a depression, but in addition to that I seem to lack energy. I wake up tired and irritable. I am also diabetic and I know that adds to the problem. But I find that I lack more energy in the summer months then I do in the winter months. I try and push myself but it does not always work out. If you have experienced any lack of energy reply here and explain it and why. Maybe someone will have a good idea how to break out of this.

Uh, all the time!  It is miserable!  I find trying to get outside for a few minutes plus add something you LIKE into your day helps.  I might do a crossword puzzle or read a page in a magazine.  It doesn't matter what it is but before I do it I tell myself this is what I choose to do for myself in this minute, take a big breath in and out then keep thinking how nice it is while I do it.  You have to train your brain to be in a happy place or your just stay zapped.

You need to take some vitamins and try some B-12, it is suppose to help with energy.

I'm like that pretty much all the time. I've been that way for years. But being outside can liven me up some.

I take my vitamins, drink plenty of water (dehydration causes lack of energy), exercise (I know it seems like it would give you less, but your heart and lungs work better when they receive exercise), and I try to go to bed/get up at the same each day.

When I don't do these things, I feel down and out. I sometimes even start thinking that everyone dislikes me and that it's not worth being around other people.

You can find me on Youtube!

I'm also feel it too.  Hope that there is a way to get this off.  I also don't feel like eating much too.

Ugh I never seem to have energy. I take daily multi vitamins plus vitamin b12 but it still doesn't seem to help with my lack of energy so I take energy shots. And I know those cant be good for me, considering I take them almost everyday!

I lack energy when I don't eat healthy and when I stop exercising.

I have had lack of energy for the last year or so. I went to Peru last summer and was very sick for a week when I got back and I never really feel like I actually got better :(

Not sleeping well doesn't help things much.

I often lack energy throughout the week. I get very little rest due to a lot of things on my mind among other reasons. I seem to otherwise function well at work, but I just feel very drained that I don't feel like leaving outside the office to take a walk anymore.

I have lacked energy since I hit my 40"s and I am 48 now, also since I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia. I make everything I do a project so I won't get over whelmed and more tired that I already am. I set aside time for house work, going to dinner with a friend, shopping and etc. I keep a check list of things I want to do and need to do so I can take my time, so I just work with the little bit of energy I have.

Your post itself is depressing - I hope you get some help soon.  Have you talked with your doctor about this?  I'm sure there is medication that will help.  Consider the bright side - you recognize you need help.  Sometimes people can't acknowledge they have a problem.

I worked about 50 hours Monday through Friday and I felt very tired at my softball game last night.
