I think a womans' dignity comes from within.
If she is self confident and sure of herself, clothes don't matter.

Have to agree with last posting.  It doesn't matter what you wear.

This is similar, my sister who is 35 has a high paying important job, the problem is she is tiny, 5'1" and looks like she is 20.  She has staff under her, especially men older than her, who at first would not take orders from "a kid".  She had a hard time at first, but once they realized she knew what she was doing they accepted and respect her.

I don't know about dignified but maybe she'll look nicer in a dress .I hardly notice women in dresses mostly pants and I only wear dresses if it's church or a wedding.

Dress up for church , but otherwise since i am retired it is comfy clothes and right now with 109 degrees out side it is shorts. I won't even go out unless it is to change the drip system. The smoke in the air from the fires in the state and no wind it is awful outside.

Dignified doesn't have much to do with clothes, it comes from within.

I don't think a dress would make you more dignified, but it tends to make me feel more feminine and dressed up.

I believe women's should be able to wear what they want to. either its pants or dress we all still look beautiful in either one...

No, I don't.  Personally, I can't stand dresses, never could.  I wear them as little as possible.  Of course, I'm not the type of person that cares about what others think of me, anyway.  I do what makes ME comfortable and a dress ain't it!  :)

I grew up in a pentacostal church where women almost never wore pants. The first time I saw a woman in pants, I thought it was a downgrade. Even as an adult I think women do just look more dignified in a modest dress.
