mental illness: what is it?
« on: July 13, 2013, 02:26:57 am »
back in December 2004, I lost my trust for those with mental illness when Nathan Gale shot Darrell Abbott (Dimebag) of Pantera/Damageplan, and to this day,
I still don't trust anybody with a mental illness. I don't care if you are mentally ill and offended by what I have to say. if you read Mark chapter 5, there was a demoniac with a legion of demons that deranged his mind, and when Jesus sent them into the herd of pigs, they jumped off the cliff into the sea and were drowned. mental illness is demonic possession of the mind. look at the state of the man possessed by the legion of demons: running around naked, among the tombs, no man could hold him, breaking the bonds that held him. a legion is 5,000 to 10,000 Roman soldiers.

I don't trust people in general and that would include the mentally ill.  Are you saying you don't trust people with mental illness because of the bible?  It seems as though there would be a long list of types of people to not trust if we look at it that way.  I think most people choose to trust or not trust an individual instead of placing people in categories like this.

I once got picked on by a bunch of "mentally ill" people. okay, let me put it this way. people with disorders like Autism Spectrum Disorders, Down Syndrome,
and other conditions that cause a mental challenge are the truly disabled ones. mental illness is demonic, not chemical imbalance. look at Nathan Gale. he believed that Pantera was laughing at him, and stealing his lyrics. he went to the Alrosa Villa in Ohio and shot Dimebag Darrell Abbott. Nathan deserved what he got in the end.

I am very confused by this post. There is such a stigma with mental illness, it is quite sad. Mental illness affects more people than all cancers combined. Mental illness is one of the leading causes of disability. Depression, developmental disorders (e.g., ADHD), the dementias (e.g. alzheimers), personality disorders (e.g., antisocial, borderlined), anxiety disorders (e.g., OCD, panic attacks) are all examples of psychological disorders. Some disorders in some people can make them dangerous, but chances are everyone here knows someone suffering from mentall illness and you may not even know. I have Multiple Sclerosis and as a result suffer from depression. I don't consider myself "crazy", attention seeking, or possessed by demons.

A person doesn't have to have a mental illness to shoot someone. Sadly, we see/hear about shootings too often. So you shouldn't 'hate' a certain kind of person because of one incident. Never know one day it may be a mentally ill person saving your life.

Such stigma. I have suffered from depression and anxiety for many years and that is a mental illness. You need some insight on mental illness and learn from it. One day someone will judge you. Don't cast the first stone if you have never sinned. Shame on you!

There are varying degrees of severity when it comes to mental illness, so you shouldn't discriminate. Not everyone who is crazy is bat s h i t crazy.
