Drink lots of water. I read that if you do not have extra water in your body, your body will use whatever water is stored in your brain. That is the reason for which people get severe headaches. Also, visit YouTube and listen to some relaxing music.

You could try an herbal supplement called Butterbur.  In clinical trials it has proven quite effective for migraine relief.  You can find it in health food stores, or online, but you need to make sure it is PA (Pyrrolizdine Alkaloids) Free.  Pyrrolizdine Alkaloids are toxic and damaging to the liver.  As always, check with your doctor before using any supplement.  Although herbal supplements are natural, they still can interact with medications or other health issues you may have.

My mom has had bad migraines for years. Sometimes they're caused by her blood pressure. We don't have insurance at the moment for our meds so she's been trying to save her blood pressure medicine for when she really needs it. A couple days ago she had a migraine that was getting too bad, took her blood pressure medicine and it went away right away. That's the only thing I can think of that might be help you.
