Closing on Aug.1~not able to move into new place till Aug. 9th

Well, boxes everywhere and pictures are off the wall.  But where to go? We're in limbo for 9 days(probably 10)  What would you do???  We are staying at friend's from church.  What a blessing for us!

When i was in your situation i got a hotel. Expensive, but i had no choice.

I had to do a similar thing once... I ended up sleeping in my car at a nearby truck-stop / rest area. Luckily I was going to school at the time, so I didn't have a lot of stuff to move. And since I was on the swim team, I'd go to morning practice and get all of my showering etc. done there before class. I'm just glad that it was only of a couple of weeks; I don't think I'd be very comfortable doing it much longer than that.

We got 3 days notice to pay or quite yesterday. My husband unemployment check doe not cover the rent. Today we're going to try to apply for Homeless prevention program with social service dept. Hopefully the fund is still available. Knowing many people loosing their job and apply for assistant. so sad.
