I just read something on this today, they say late Saturday night will be best for my location, after midnight. I plan on sitting out and watching! :star: :star:

There were some the last couple of days, but tonight is the "Peak", which supposedly means about 100 "shooting stars" an hour about 1:00 - 4:00 am.  But it's  VERY CLOUDY where I live, so no luck.  Maybe tomorrow night ......

I looked out a little while ago, but there is too much cloud cover to see anything.  The stars, what I could see, were very faint.

We were hoping to watch them, but it was cloudy at the time.

Last night (August 12) was supposed to be the best viewing night according to the Weather Channel, but it was cloudy and rainy in our location so I did not even try.  They said 80 - 100 meteors/hour would be visible.  Last year a friend and I watched for several hours but saw fewer than five.  Maybe I can see some tonight if the clouds are not too thick.

I forgot all about this and was actually kind of looking forward to seeing it. Sadly, it really doesn't matter since it has been raining here practically everyday lol.

Did anyone see the meteorite shower?  The two nights that were considered "peak viewing" in my area were cloudy and rainy  :(
