I have had some issues ever since they changed the layout as well.  I would prefer to go back to the old format.  it would be nice if we could at least choose which one we wanted.  that way, for those of us that want the old one back, we can still use it, while everyone else utilizes the new one.

They had that period where you could use both so people who offer their suggestions and issues of what needed to be fixed. That's over so the new one is here to stay.

If you're having problems with crashing it's most likely a user problem and not a site problem. You need to make sure everything on your computer(and browsers) is updated and see if that solves your problems

I'm sorry that is happening to you.  Not sure if we can go back or not.  Might have to submit a ticket to see what suggestions they have for you.  They can probably help you fix it.

Maybe change browsers, empty cache, delete cookies, etc... Not too sure what this site uses, but you'll want to make sure your flash, java (you should get a warning pop up if it's out of date)...

The new layout is here for good.  The Admin said in another thread it was impractical to have both layouts available.

That's right. But the new design should not cause freezing or slowdowns.

But this kind of issue can be hard to nail down.  It might be unrelated to FC and simply adware/malware/virus/etc - or even ANTI-virus - causing the slowdown/crash.  The two members complaining of the issue above are using latest versions of Chrome and IE - both of which are being used by a large number of folks without crashing.

I would guess that running videos (especially multiple videos) along with the memory-intensive RadioLoyalty would use up much of the resources on an older PC - which can cause freezing pages.  The only remedy for that is to upgrade or run fewer tabs/windows.

Although I'm not having problems with watching video's I did get something out of this thread regarding the Oh snap dude popping up and thing's running slow.  I use wii fii. And if there are too many people online at one time that message always comes up for me.  Particularly when teens are on kindles playing online video games.  Maybe updating everything from browsers to plug in's would help out?

Yes, I agree. I wish we could go back to the old site as well. It crashes and get that reload error. even was entering the captcha on Radio Loyalty when it crashed and didn't get the credit and this has been happening. Videos don't work like they did and the navigation is slow. I wish there was a link we could use to use the old way. I didn't have this many issues with it. It ran pretty smooth only a small issue every now and then. Now it happens on a daily basis, and multiple times.

I haven't been having too many problems and love how easy it is to get around in the new site. For the most part, I like it!

All web sites go through that period after a change when half of the users are happy with the change, the other half hate it but by the time it changes again, they don't want it to change anymore.  The point is that change in general is tough.  It may just be web design, but you'll get used to it.

Also, it sounds like the crashing is due to Flash player, so you may want to try reinstalling that on your current browser or updating it.

I also prefer the layout of the old website.  There should be an option to go back to it if we chose to. Not sure why Admin wanted to change it if it was working fine.
