« on: August 30, 2013, 11:39:06 am »
We know they did these terrible things to their own people but why.Is it a religious thing maybe. Do you think we should bomb them I guess that is the plan. Many don't want another Iraq, can understand that don't want a war started, but that is what might happen. Going to look on youtube bet there are tons of videos about this.

Let me put it this way, America can not afford another war, we are at the financial cliff.

There's no reason for us to intervene. We are not the world police.

I truly hope we don't and I would agree that we cannot afford another war. It is a travesty to see things like these happen, especially to 100's of children. Hopefully, any move made will be minimal with little to know casualties as a result. Meanwhile, we all can work on bringing peace into this world. Doing it one person at a time. Imagine a world where love was the only way. I might start singing John Lennon now.  :)

I know it's horrible what they did to their own people but we have no business going to war with them.  We have enough problems here at home that need to be addressed - unemployment, healthcare, economy.  We cannot take care of the whole world. :peace:

No.  It's not our fight.  And Iraq has been going on for 13 years.  We had the means to go in and level them and it be over.  But we *bleep* foot around and thousands of our soldiers are killed.  We have been warned by more than one country if we stick our face in this there will be dire consequences for us.  I think if we start another war, we as a country, will be finished.

And if they do that to their own people - what do you think they will do to people they absolutely hate?  America is the most hated nation in the world.

I don't think we should bomb them.  I don't think we need another war.  I think this administration needs to quit arming the rebels because THEY are the ones that are using the nerve gas on the people, not the Syrian government.  While Egypt is screaming that Obama is supporting the muslim brotherhood, you better believe it's true.  This nut bag is going to be the start of WW III.  It's claimed they have definitive proof that the Syrian government was the one that used the nerve gas.  If this is the case, why not show that proof to the non-believers (Russia, England)?  Wouldn't you want these countries on your side?  Right now, as it stands, if we attack Syria, the Iranians plan to "rain bombs on Israel," and Russia plans to bomb Saudi Arabia.  This could turn in to a cluster f*** in no time.  The Benghazi cover-up has everything to do with what's going on right now.  What I wonder is if he's going to go through Congress like he's supposed to, or is he going to by-pass them like he did in Libya?  Will Congress have the guts to put a stop to it should he decide to by-pass them?

I don't think we should be involved in Syria at all to be honest.  It's a bad enough situation without us there.  We would only screw it up and possibly put in worse people than Assad.

We should not fight for another country...We lost too many people in this last war and continue to do so...Syria is not our problem and I don't believe our country needs to be involved in this! :sad1: :peace: not war!

This is a very complicated issue.  :sad1:

If we bomb them, what good would it really do? It would be as a punishment but the dirty deed the Syrian regime has done to its own people has already been done. The Syrian govt already knew that the US and other countries have the capacity to bomb them but yet they chose to kill their own people anyway. I think financial sanctions might be a better a course in the long run.

We need to stay out of it. Don't send any weapons of any kind over. Let them figure it out for them selves. They don't like us anyway. I believe in food and such can be given too them  but the rest of it forget it. USA will have to stand alone on this one and surely Obama does not want another black mark add to his image .

The U.S. should just let the United Nations take care of the situation in Syria.
