I have done a lot research on this issue and think that there is little benefit to spending the extra money,

I don`t buy organic often, just sometimes when there is good deal, because most of the time organic food are expensive.

My guess as to why organic foods are so expensive is that finding an area to grow them where there is little air pollution and soil not affected by environmental wastes has got to be very scarce.

I buy organic whenever I can.  I can really taste the difference in the organic butter.  It actually tastes like butter, whereas any other butter leaves a lot to be desired.  I try to buy organic fruit since I love fruit so much.  With an organic fruit at least I know it's not a GMO and no pesticides were used.  I have used (and will now only buy) organic flour.  The difference in your baking is phenomenal.  I've bought organic chicken and meat, and OMG, there's a WORLD of difference.  The meat is tender, doesn't have a ton of FAT, and there's no grizzle.  Yes, it's more expensive but, in my eyes, it's worth the pretty penny.  I do wish organics weren't so expensive.  It's a shame we have to spend so much for better quality foods when ALL of our food should be better quality.  They need to stop pumping these poor animals with antibiotics and growth hormones that in the end, only poison them AND us.  As usual, it's all about the money for these companies.

I buy organic as often as possible.
I still spend the same amount on groceries, with the added benefit of no longer funding the mad scientists of Monsanto.

No, I don't buy organic foods.  They are very expensive and I don't see much of an advantage to them.

I buy organic foods. I try to buy most of the time. But I do not buy them all the time since they are so expensive. But I love them since I love natural foods.

I would buy more organic foods if I could.  In my town we just have a Wal-Mart and two small grocery stores.  I can only find a few organic items.  :(

I can smell and taste the difference and they are most certainly better for you.  Ingesting toxins, like pesticides, cause disease.  :angry7:

The produce isle is not where you find GMO's.  Look at the four digit numbers on the stickers and remember this rhyme:  We hate 8, 4 is a bore, 9 is fine.  If the number starts with 8 you have a GMO food, if it starts with 4 it's grown under ordinary conditions with pesticides and chemical fertilizers, the ones that start with 9 are organic.  GMO's are found in packaged foods.  Corn, soy and canola are three of the leading GMO ingredients in processed foods.

Organic food costs more because there's less of it.  It's easier to grow more product if you use chemical fertilizers and pesticides or cram your animals into unhealthy crowded quarters.  :angry7:

I find that most organic foods are very expensive. I am all for eating it but I find that the cost out weighs the product. I try to visit our local Farmers Market on the week-ends and purchase some organic vegetables and fruit that way. I am able to cut out the middle man that way and get produce at a slightly cheaper rate. Farmers Markets are also a way to meet new and interesting people as well as expanding your horizons.

I prefer eating organic food since you get twice as much nutrients compared to regular store bought food.

I do buy a few store brand organic items. canned beans, fresh pasta, and a couple soups. They taste better and are lower in sodium. :peace:
