Man, I had life made from age 16-18 and had no clue!  I was at the top of my class in high school and had an after school job as a law clerk in a major downtown Cincinnati corporate law office.  I wish I knew then what I know now.  At the time, I just treated it like a starter job.  AAAAAAAAAAAAH!

I know it isn't now.  I feel so old and insignificant sometimes.  Maybe it is just low-self esteem, but I feel like middle-aged women are not very valued in our society.  Sometimes I go in a store and I feel invisible.  I don't remember feeling that way when I was young, skinny and cute.

Everyone has a bad day or two now and then, no matter how young or old they are.

You, my dear, have friends and family who care for you.

You have a great sense of humor and wit.
You are talented.
You are a gooood loooking woman!!  (Don't be so hard on yourself!!)

"Society" today tends to put value on superficial stuff......"but I feel like middle-aged women are not very valued in our society."   That doesn't mean "society" is right!
