What kind of pet do you prefer?

We have had many pets over the years rabbits, fish, cats, dogs, rabbits, ferrets, birds, turtles and more! so whats your favorite type of pet?

My wife passed this January and left me with 2 big dogs and 3 chihuahuas, didn`t like them much while she was here, but now they are my faithful companions

I prefer cats, why? Cats are easier to train, they keep in good spirits, I love cats, they help me with my emotions ( Dogs too) they understand and feel almost like a human would.

I prefer to have dogs as a pet. I like small, short hair dogs like a chihuahua...seem to be easier to take care of and less maintenance. Also, small dogs have smaller poop.  hehehe

Cats are my favorite, but unfortunately can't have any right now because several close relatives are allergic and wouldn't be able to visit if I did

Depends..... I think I'm a dog person these days but I used to have only cats.

I too had all kinds of pets but my favorite has always been a dog. They are always my true companions and they are super smart and fun to have if you are devoted to them.

Actually I prefer not to have a pet. I have had pets in the past, dogs, cats a turtle and I did have some fish at one time. However I still prefer not to have any pets. Right now I do not have the time to properly care for one, or two.

To me, the best pet is a good dog.  Yes, it does break your heart when they have to leave you, but, that is because they can be such wonderful companions.  We have been blessed with two truly great dogs.  An Australian Shepard saw us through our early marriage and then we had a short friendship with a wonderful 150 pound rottie aussie mountain dog cross. He was the most wonderful dog.  Smart, friendly, personable and he even talked and sang.  We had him for three years (he had belonged to a dear friend who passed away) and then became very ill.  Still miss him much.

We have two cats now, mainly because we don't have the energy to train and walk dogs anymore.  We have had many dogs through the years that I still miss.  However, I love our cats, too.  So, it's hard to say.  Love them both.

I prefer dogs.  Growing up, my family had a Yorkshire Terrier.  She was a member of the family and was the best dog!

I prefer birds. I had a parakeet. Now I want to get a pair of cockatiels
