Have you ever?
« on: October 12, 2013, 04:43:28 pm »
Do you have a friend that says one thing and does a complete other thing? If so how does that make you feel?

I have a friend that is somewhat like this.. He will say he is going to do something and then do something else and in the meantime say " he got busy".. I get that you get busy.. But when you use that line every.......single........time... It's almost like.. You wanna tell the person off .. But you know it will hurt their feelings.. The sad part is I fall for what he says all the time.. Then he turns around and doesn't do it.. I guess i'm a sucker for  people like this?Makes me feel about 2 inches tall. Especially when your always there for said person.. and they make excuses to not keep their word..  :BangHead: :BangHead: Idk.. Maybe i'm just making the wrong friends? Is it my curse? Opinions and suggestions are welcomed!

YES! We have a friend that always comes to me and my husband for advice and she does the complete opposite of what we tell her to do. Why come to us for advice in the first place? Very annoying.

Im sorry to say this , but nothing and no one is as it seems.......  very disturbing- yet  very real-      just look at the government, especially the entire BUSH family,   so often do they say one thing, and do the exact opposite thing-  and call anyone who notices this behavior a conspiracy spreader........?????

I have found that sometimes you can give very sound advice but if it isn't something someone else feels comfortable with doing because they will have to live with the results, they won't do it.  Don't be offended if they don't follow your advice, give it anyway. They probably wish they were a bit more like you and don't mean any offense.

I'd say to this person: "Don't agree to do it if you don't intend to keep the promise!"

Let them in on the plans, but they cannot be the key to the plans, then say if you are leaving at 10:00  leave. Then tell them you didn't want to be late, since they were, you thought something had come up.  If everyone is bringing something for a potluck, give them something that it does not matter if it gets there or not.  Then when they do show up you are happy to enjoy there company, if they don't show it does not put a damper on the plans for every one else.
