I never really understood the reasoning behind DST... Supposedly it is to give us more sunlight in the summer during the evenings. But during the summer, we already have enough sunlight in the evenings (here in MN, the sunset time during the summer is about 9pm). If anything, I'd rather that the clocks were kept at DST during the winter months too so that the sun set would be closer to 5pm instead of 4pm at the Winter solstice. You'd think if anything that during the winter you'd want to "save daylight" for the evenings. I know my cat got really confused after turning the clocks back after coming out of DST... He started bugging me about breakfast before my alarm went off (since it was starting to get lighter earlier in the mornings) and now as soon as I come home from work he's pestering me about dinner (since its getting darker in the evenings). I can't wait till December when it'll just be dark at both ends so at least he won't be waking me up early...

I love gaining that hour, and hate losing it in the spring.

I don't think it's needed but I don't see it as a hassle especially now. There's a little computer in everything that adjust for it, so most of my clocks are already set. My phone and computer are my clocks and they adjust on their own. I have normal clocks and just change them when I run into'em. Not really a big deal.

I do not like when we have to change clocks all the time.  I hate it getting dark so early and could care less how early it gets light.  I think it is because of the children.

It's the other way around... You gain an hour of sleep in the fall... 2:00 AM falls back to 1:00 AM, so you get to sleep from 1 to 2 AM a 2nd time.

It's really not that big of a deal; it's just an hour. Try flying across the ocean a couple of times per year and having to adjust to 12 hour time differences like I have to!

I like seeing less light earlier in the day compared to sunlight at times in which there shouldn't be. To me it shouldnt change instead of the switching over bs. That stuff is annoying and is hard to get used to
