each year it gets crazier and starts earlier. There was even a fight at a local walmart.

Hate it!! I stay home where the semi-sane people reside!! I read that an employee at Walmart out in Long Island, NY was trampled on and died! That is insane!! Too many crazies out today! NOT worth saving $100 on something! I get the same deals shopping online and truthfully the deals weren't that great this year!

I am not a fan of Black Friday, but if there's a good deal I'll go out and grab it.  I have 2 young kids and they get 5-6 gifts each and I already did all my shopping for them before Thanksgiving.  If there is anything we need during the year, we usually buy it.. we don't wait for Black Friday.  One year, I did buy a TV on Black Friday and today I went out (at Noon) and bought a toaster oven.  But for the most part, I prefer to stay home and shop online

I stayed far away from any stores today! I don't like fighting the crowds even on ordinary days, so Black Friday is definitely out.

No way will i go out in it. I worked for 20 yeas in retail and so no thanks. At my age i sure don't want to be pushed and shoved around. Besides if i want something i will buy it when i want too. there are always sales going on.

I'm not a fan of Black Friday. There are too many crazy people at the stores and malls, so I buy most of my stuff online.

This is a terrible day, people go insane just to save a little bit of money.

I don't like being manipulated, so I don't buy anything after October except for groceries.

All these "great deals" are a way for the stores to make you think you're getting a bargain, but at what cost? All the people who used to spend time with their families during the holidays are either working to sell me stuff I don't really need, or they're trying to knock me over to get to something before I can.

It's dehumanizing.

I never cared too much for black friday because people be acting crazy and I do not like to be around a big crowd of people where they push you and bump into you. I do my black friday shopping online where it is a lot easier

Well, I guess since I started this discussion I should pipe in.  I am not a big crowd type of person as I try to avoid them like the plague.  I also hate long lines at the cash register.  In addition, I hate shopping!  Thank goodness that my wife has no problem doing what she enjoys (shopping) and she normally snags things up at very reasonable prices all year round.  We buy a lot of our toddlers needs at goodwill as he only plays with toys for a little bit and they are old and clothes he outgrows before they show any wear.  So we are second hand stores best customers as we have a revolving door going on where we are constantly buying and taking back.  Seems that everything is so commercialized buy, buy, buy, consume, consume, consume.  Needless to say, I stayed home today.

I don't feel about black Friday. I find it to be a waste. It causes chaos and mayhem. I prefer shopping early or online.

Black Friday is a way for stores to lure people in to buy one more gadget that they don't need or use. That is just my opinion.
