What are Some Movies you Would Like to see Remade?

Can't think of any off hand, the remakes I have seen recently; 'Clash of the Titans', Total Recall', and almost every other 'remake' has been pretty disappointing in my eyes.

I would love to see the movie Elf remade. I dunno who else could be as good as Will Ferrall, but it would be fun to have a remake. Or a Elf 2!!

I'm always hesitant about a re-make.  It's hard to live up to a good original.

Most of the time I like the originals better. It's fun to see the remakes but most of them are not as good.

I've never been a fan of remakes because it always seems like they're not good enough and something is missing from the original.

I don't know...Maybe the movie "Troll". It was my childhood favorite.

To be honest with you, there's nothing like an "original."  I think they remake movies in Hollywood because the writers stink and they can't come up with anything interesting or original themselves.  Only movies I might like to see remade are those that have some special effects in them.  I think the special effects artists today are awesome, otherwise it's just redundancy.

I guess I wouldn't mind a remake of movies that have factual inconsistencies, esp. Sci. Fi. movies that have anachronistic errors. For example, I could see them doing a remake of Blade Runner... Even though the plot's time-line is still a few years out, I assume that the technology in 2019 (the year that the movie is set in) will be no where close to how it's portrayed in the movie. It's like reading 1984 where the real-world from the year 1984 is different from the Orwellian dystopia portrayed in his novel.

I actually like when futuristic stories are given some type of "out" for the inconsistencies... Sometimes they are presented in some long lost past where Earth (if it ever comes into the picture) was presumably colonized by those ancient humans (eg Star Wars and Battlestar Galactica). I really liked how the remake of Battlestar Galactica even justified why some of today's technology wasn't used on Galactica for fear of the Cylons compromising those digital technologies whereas the analog methods were more secure. Or I like it if the story takes place in a completely different, alternate universe (like the TV series Quantum Leap and Fringe).

I also wouldn't mind remakes of movies where the plot is heavily driven by technology.... For example, I'd love to see a remake of Wargames (ok, I just looked up Wargames in Wikipedia for this post and found that there was a straight-to-DVD sequel made...).
