I say Merry Christmas unless I know that the other person doesn't celebrate it. But I don't subscribe to saying what is politically correct... Just like I always say "God bless you" when someone sneezes instead of "Gesundheit" even though the person sneezing may not believe in God. However I also don't think it's right for people to insist that you say "Merry Christmas"... I've seen a bunch of posts on Facebook that suggests that the pendulum is swinging in the other direction, with religious people insisting that everyone says "Merry Christmas". Just say whatever you want to, and don't spoil the season for the rest by insisting what you should and should not say.

Happy Holidays. I think it is ignorant to assume everyone celebrates Christmas, and I think it is rude to know that and still deliberately say Merry Christmas to everyone. Happy Holidays is all inclusive and it's just as easy to say as Merry Christmas.

I prefer to say Merry Christmas but  I live in a diverse area. So sometimes I find Happy Holidays more prudent.

Merry Christmas of course. Our Governor passed a law that lets our state be politically incorrect by having Christmas displays and say Merry Christmas anywhere. I think that is the spirit of Christmas!

Merry Christmas due to the fact we are celebrating the birth of Christ.  If it were New Year's I would say Happy New Year.  I agree there would be no Christmas holiday without Christ.   :present:  :angel11:
u are so right about that! :)
