Completed offers expiring in account :(
« on: January 06, 2014, 08:04:27 am »
I haven't been active for a while due to some personal things going on in my life that took priority over FC and I just started logging back into the site the past couple days. Some of my past offers I earned have started to expire since I don't have enough to cashout yet. It's really disheartening because I've lost like $2 in two days and I have more that will expire today and tomorrow. It's impossible to re-earn those lost amounts plus some just to get ahead each day. I'm actually so upset it that it makes me just want to leave. What's the point in earning .50 today when I'm gonna lose $1 today or .25 tomorrow when I'm gonna lose .50?

I know they have a "clearing the books" rule when you wait too long to cashout... but in the grand scheme of things it's unfair because it forces members to earn a certain amount within a certain time and FC also got paid for the offer no matter how long ago you completed it and you just didn't get your share of it.

I don't like seeing my earnings taken away every day now and feeling like I have to scramble and break a sweat just to even it out, let alone get ahead.

180 days is more than fair. I know I worked at a job and somehow my last paycheck was never shown as cash so I had to work with them to get it reissued and cashed with a certain period so they could have their books balanced.

But I've made around $6 in a day just from surveys so if you haven't been on the site for a while you would have many more free things to complete than someone who is frequently on. I would actually try to put in the effort to make some money instead of just complaining how unfair it is. If you really think that the expiration period is so wrong then work to earn enough to cashout then leave the site.

I'm a veteran "GPT" site earner and I'm fully aware of how these sites work and how to earn. And I work plenty hard to get the money and gift cards I earn, which is a LOT, by the way. I have every right to make conversation about the expired offers and express my opinion of not liking a company to keep my earned portion.

I really don't think your so-called advice (more like a lecture) was very productive in the art of constructive suggestion. It was more like a rude comparison to your life and productivity in which you and I are not the same person. Also, you act like it is so easy to just whip up a fat daily goal every day by doing surveys. Good for you if you can earn $6 a day just with surveys. Not everyone is given that many surveys and even when they are, not everyone qualifies to take them.

I will reiterate my initial complaint before - I do have a life outside of the computer and outside of FC that many times takes precedence over other things. And sometimes those things are very serious and important that it is impossible for me to ignore. So don't act like it's so easy for anyone to earn a few bucks when they have a new baby, lose their house, have their internet turned off, are dealing with legal issues, start a new job, have other hobbies or responsibilities, etc. People have lives and they live them regardless.

Honestly, if you can't be polite or refrain from having a sarcastic, self-righteous tone, you should just keep your inner commentary to yourself.

I didn't say I make $6 every day nor would I want to be on the computer long enough every day to be able to do it. I was pointing out that it's actually possible to make a higher amount in a day in order to save more of your money from expiring than just make $0.50.

If you're going to complain on a public forum then you should expect responses especially when it's something people on here frequently complain about.

I'm sorry that happened to you. Hopefully, you can increase your earnings again should you continue with FC. This really is one of the best sites to make money with.

I expect responses, but you are not FC's "Complaint Police" so I don't expect someone to retaliate with an uncalled for rudeness.

And perhaps people frequently complain about this same issue because the rule itself is not only ridiculous, but unjust.

You are right! FC really is a great site, even if I don't agree with every term of their service - such as this 180 day offer expiry.

I do love FC and I'm glad to be back. I will definitely keep at it, even if I lose a few bucks. But it doesn't mean I don't get frustrated sometimes.

Sorry to hear about your expiring items; that can be frustrating. I know there are times when I just need to attend to some other things, and just cannot be on the site; I try and monitor my expiring items but sometimes it is hard, but I love FC so just keep working. Hope you are able to make up some of the loss time; who knows you may gain more than you loss in expiring items. Hang in there!

"Clearing the Book" rules exist for a variety of reasons, the chief reason being for taxes.  I am sorry that you are feeling discouraged by offers of yours expiring, but it really isnt that difficult to recoup what you have lost.  Go thru and check out some of the tasks and daily surveys.  If you get disqualified just keep trying.  The important thing is to get back into some sort of rythem or groove for your preferred method of money making on FC.

:) I had the same thing happen to me as I was gone for medical reasons. I finally decided to "suck it up" and keep at it. It is tough but I can relate. It took me well over a month to get back in the black.  :)

me too.  Moving, trying to get new phone line all during the holidays sucked.  I miss about 2 months with the packing etc.  Trying to get on daily but seems harder since I moved further away from my work.  Hoping to figure something out when i finish unpacking .  ;)

Sorry to hear that happened to you....I hope you've been able to get back on track!! If not yet, try out some of the daily tasks. There are some that are super easy and if you have some time to devote to them, you can make a nice little chunk!!

It can be discouraging, but they are never going to change the rules, so it's best just to realize that you made the best decision for your life, which was more important than losing a few bucks here.
Have you checked out the regular offers? I know a lot of people like to rely on surveys and the daily offers, but there are some great offers that can help you earn more money quickly. That's what I do. Even some of the trial offers are great, if you need to boost your earning fast; it's worth spending a couple of bucks to cash out a lot more.
Whatever you do, stick with it and don't get discouraged.

Sorry to hear this is happening to you. However no matter what site you join they all have their own rules which we may not like but must follow. Hopefully this new year will get better for you. Just keep at it and hopefully soon you will be on your way to earning once again. Best of luck to you.  :)
