Topic: When Surveys Say "Work for," They Mean 'Have a Contract with'; Yes?  (Read 711 times)

Because when a survey asks what kind of companies I work for (listing a few industries), I could tell them I 'work for' market research, education, church/religion, entertainment, & Government; but I'm not "employed on contract" with any of them.

(And I think they generally DON'T want you to 'work for' any of them, to "qualify you" as a 'consumer who can offer constructive criticisms.')

Yeah I'm pretty sure they mean officially employed by.
