What do you think?
« on: February 14, 2014, 01:07:10 am »
Some people believe Valentines Day is all about romantic love, where others, want to celebrate Valentines Day with their children, parents, siblings, etc.

Who do you celebrate Valentines Day with?  How do you make Valentines Day special for yourself and your love one(s)?  Do you own a heart shaped cookie cutter?

I used to make a Valentines Day cake that had an entire bottle of red food coloring in it.  It also had cream cheese frosting.  I did nice things for my kids when they were young; but now, Valentines Day is a romantic holiday. :)

I consider Valentine's Day as being a day where spending time with your significant other is special.  My hubby bought me a big box of Valentine's Day candy to commemorate the day last year.  We are going shopping at 9, so I have to see what he has up his sleeve for me.  Happy Valentine's Day!   :rainbow:

Before we had our son, it would be for just me and my husband. Now, I don't mind spending it with the 2 of them because they are both my Valentine  ! The loves of my life, and they complete me. When my son is older and grown, of course he will always have my  but then it's mommy/daddy time for the lovin' and to reunite that spark! lol  :in-love:

My bf doesn't celebrate Valentine's day. I forgot why. But because of that, we won't be celebrating together. LOL!

That's really funny question because in the UK, we only send valentines cards to our boyfriend, our wannabe boyfriend or our husband/partner. We do not send valentines to mum's, sisters, friends or anything - that would be weird! So when I moved to America and everyone sent valentines to everyone, I was a bit confused. Sweet, but confused!

I just spend the time with my hubby. some years we are able to make it more special than others. for instance this year hubby has to work third shift all weekend, so there wasn't anything special that we could do.

Valentines Day is not a big deal to me.  I did bake pink cupcakes with cream cheese frosting for my family.

I don't think Valentine's Day is that serious because everyday is Valentine's Day to me not just on February 14th. It is a day to spend it with your boyfriend/girfriend or either family

I don't really celebrate Valentine's Day.  It's a made up holiday so stores can sell crap. lol.  I do send cards to my grand parents and my mom.  I got my mom and mammaw something.  And the kids.

I think it depends what stage in your life that you find yourself. When I was younger I wanted to celebrate with my significant other in a romantic evening. Now that I am older I enjoy spending it with my kids.
