Valentine's Day is definitely heavily commercialized, but I still like the idea of showing how I care to my family - even if I do what I can throughout the year anyway.  If I happen to be with a potential significant other I'm also very keen to show my affection.  I'm a big romantic.

I think Valentine's Day is where you are at the time. If you have a love interest then it's a romantic holiday. But if you don't then you love the other special people in your life.

Valentine's day is for love. No one said it was supposed to be for boyfriends/girlfriends or husbands/wives. Love can be from a friend, pet, family, etc. People need to stop feeling sad and realize that even if it feels like no one loves you, at least ONE person does.
