I love my dishwasher and run it about 2/week..  I wouldn't trade this invention for anything.  Why get dry, prune hands if I don't need to?  I do wash some things by hand, but probably don't need to. ???

I had to wash dishes by hand from the time I was 9 yrs old til I moved out. The first demand I made of my then boyfriend now husband was if he planned on me cooking meals for him, he had better get me a dishwasher. I refused to do them by hand ever again. He loves my cooking, so I had a dishwasher that very afternoon! I don't buy any pans or dishes that will not fit into the washer, and I do not buy anything that is not dishwasher safe.

I use the dishwasher almost every day.  I love to cook, but I hate washing dishes!

Dish washing by hand is more water efficient for me and I find the practice therapeutic.  Even if I do use the dish washer the amount of time to briefly wipe off any excess of the dishes, etc. I might as well finish up doing the normal dish washing.

I prefer the dishwasher but I will hand wash certain things like when we use my china at the holidays. Spent to much money on them to run the risk of them getting ruined in the washer.

I prefer hand washing dishes over the dishwasher because sometimes the dishwasher leaves a stain or dirt on the dish.

I have a dishwasher. It came with the house we bought  20 years ago.  I've never used it.  Instead it makes a lovely storage unit for things I never use.

I prefer by hand: you use the dish, after you're finished, you wash it, self dry and put it away = kitchen always clean and dishes always available.

I personally like to wash my dishes by hand a lot better than by the machine because most of the time you have to scrub your dishes pretty hard to get everything off before you put them into the machine. THe good thing about a machine though is that they can get off the residue of grease and nasty things like that. I find that washing dishes by hand is a lot faster though if you are cleaning dishes that don't get covered in nasty stuff.
