I prefer to was my pots and pans by hand. Most of my dishes go in the dishwasher. I do not mind washing the dishes, I just disapprove of that everyone in my household believe that it is my job to do them.

My mother had all her kids washing dishes.  She would say, why have a dishwasher when you have kids!  So, needless to say I started washing dishes around age 9 but I have 4 younger sisters that got their share as I grew older.  No, my mother wasn't a child labor enthusiast as she did do the lions share of the work around the house as a stay at home mom and housekeeper.  But, we kids were expected to "help out".

I think it is important for parents to teach their kids how to work.  My parents did not work us kids as much as their parents did and I feel that I have worked my kids even less .... My bad .... I am trying to correct my poor parenting by including my 5 year old in chores and tasks.  As far as my two teens it is a bit too late, unfortunately!

A good work ethic is priceless ... laziness, well?
Even with a dishwasher, you still have to load and unload so what is a little extra work!

I would prefer the extra work of doing by hand and savings!

I don't have a dishwasher, but when I did I had to rinse my dishes off before putting them in the dishwasher so I might as well just wash them myself.  If we keep up the dishes they won't stack up that is what I hate doing is washing every dish in the house because we got lazy.

I like to wash dishes by hands after dinner. I do it this way because I need to digest the food. Standing for 15 minutes washing dishes help the food to digest faster.

I prefer my dishes be washed in the dishwasher.  Saves me a lot of time and helps to keep my hands from drying out.   :)
