Are they strict about what posts "added" to the conversation? Also, is the bonus added at the end of the month?

It's a minimum of 30 contributory posts. These are things like questions and answers that actually contribute the answering the question or conversation. This isn't just one or two word answers or copying and pasting. Nothing on the word chains and countdowns or promotions boards count toward the 30

It's usually paid around the end of the following month. So I received December's bonus on January 28 but it's usually the last day of the month or the first of that next month

You request payment at the end of the month and it usually takes about a month for it to be added to your account.

I do believe they have some ground rules about the 30 post. I think you have to have a sentence or two not just words like way to go or congrats. I think my bonus gets posted about every 6 weeks.

Most people request this bonus towards the end of a given month and the credit come to your account at the end of month following the month you made the request.

However, you can request last month's bonus in the current month (you still have to have 30 qualifying posts in the prior month).  So if you make your request for January on February 2, you will not receive the January bonus until the end of March -- that's where the 65 days come from  (2 months+/- a couple of days).

Believe that if you do that for January (prior month), you could also request February's bonus at the end of February -- and you would receive that bonus also at the end of March.

So to get it clear,

I requested the bonus for January at the end of the month - if I don't receive it by the last day of February, does that mean I can't request the bonus for February until sometime in March (whenever I get the January bonus).

So say if I can't request February's until March, can I request both February & March's both at one time in March?

You can have two pending at the same time. I usually request my bonus towards the beginning of the month before I've received my previous bonus

February 2014   Pending   39 days
January 2014   Pending   8 days

I've been getting mine about a month after I request them. Infact I'm pretty sure it was less than a month for September's. It's one of those nice things where I generally submit the request, then kinda forget about it until I get an email saying it was approved and the $3 in my account. Definitely puts a smile on my face.

I have never had a month where my posts did NOT count, but I stay away from the Off-topic forum, word counts and the like.  I try to answer atleast one Support topic per day.  If you answer 1 topic with a helpful response you should almost always get your 30 post per month minimum

Okay, that clears it up for me.
I submitted my second one for February, while the January's is still pending.   All is right with the world

As long as you contribute to the conversation you will be fine.
Once you start getting credited, your $3 will get added every month.
It's a nice little boost to income.
