video timing gone wrong
« on: February 20, 2014, 06:11:14 pm »
What happened to video timing?
Watch the whole video, timing was like 2867 second.
What is that mean.
And other video timing will end  at 129 secons.
They are way to long of ending time... :bad: :bad: :bad: :bad: >:( >:(

I agree the timing on these videos are very long, but it turns out you don't actually view the entire video to get credit.  I usually watch 30-45 sec (unless it funny or interesting) and, so far, I've gotten credit.

Consider the timing to be a notice to let you know how long the video is -- not how long you have to watch.

I thought the same thing too, but after watching over 30 secs or so then I got credit. :rainbow:

I thought the same thing too...47 minutes for a half cent?  Really?  But, yes, if you watch a minute or so of it, it credits just fine.  Good question and good luck to you.

I'm sure the advertisers are hoping that after the first thirty seconds or so, you will be so hooked with the presentation, that you won't want to quit viewing.  Occasionally I do want to continue watching, but most of the time I view the required length and go on to the next video.  Sometimes you do have to watch the entire video to get credit, but that's not been the norm for me.  Sometimes I will open another tab and see if the credit has shown up before I close the video.

Some of the videos are REALLY long.  I usually let those run at least a minute and a half and find I get credited.

I like the other videos better. You are right they did take less time to do. These I enjoy watching these new ones but they do take much more of my time.

They do not always credit right away, but I just keep watching and generally after I watch two by then the previous ones have credited. I have always got the credit, so I do not mind wating a little longer;  just go on to something else.

I try to watch the longer ones when I have to put the laundry in or go out and feed the chickens.

I usually do something else if it is a real long video and just let it run its time out.

::) I always thought you had to watch the whole video for 1/2 cent, now I'll try watching 30 secs. or so.
