Hi everyone
« on: February 24, 2014, 02:37:28 pm »
I haven't been online all that much, becuz a couples weeks ago, I was in the hospital because they found a blood clot behind my knee. It was caused by the birth control that I was taking, and mostly from my knee injury. The doctor at the hospital took me off the birth control. I now have to go to the hospital to have my blood drawn regularly, so that the doctor can see if my blood lvl stays stable, I am now taking Coumadin for my blood clot, which my doctor is gonna keep me on them for 6 months. I, for one, be glad when my blood clot goes away and that I don't to take Coumadin anymore. Also, I be glad when I get off my crutches, because I don't like being on them all that much.

Hello sorry to hear about your illness and hope you both get better soon.  My Girlfriends sister's husband was just in the hospital as well they still not sure what caused him to go he was having chest pains and his blood pressure (which he had high blood pressure before)had dropped way below average.  They got him hooked to a heart monitor for 21 days and took him off the blood pressure for now.   He will see the heart doctor again and depending on what they find out he will be on the low aspirin regimen for the rest of his life but if his blood pressure is still low he won't have to take them anymore, so my girlfriend has been helping them with there traveling and he now receives in home services so she will be out there everyday to make sure they get meals that the doctor put them on her sister and husband are both disabled and they are only 39 for him and she is 42.  This his there family pretty hard because there mother just the last three years or so had several surgeries and gets in home care as well and she takes care of her mom.  She gets paid by the state but she does a lot more than what they allot for them all and that's OK because its her family.

Your condition sounds terrible! I sure do hope you get better. I was on BC too about 2 years ago, and started having many problems while on it. My doctor also discontinued my BC. Luckily, I didn't have any blood clots. That is a very serious thing. All I can do is wish you good and hope for a speedy recovery!

Sorry to hear about this - for sure continue to take care of yourself and monitor to make sure everything gets back to normal for you.  I have had a struggle myself lately but with blood pressure.  I am on a beta blocker due to funky heart rate and now have to go back on an additional blood pressure medicine - oh well as Granny would say got to do it.

Sorry to hear about you going to the hospital. BC has so many side effects and you never know. Hang in there!
