Long Cold Drought in Wisconsin
« on: March 15, 2014, 08:30:38 pm »
In the City I live in, Janesville, Wisconsin has not seen a 50 degree high temperature since December 4, 2013 even in recent weeks other cities nearby have hit 50 degrees, but not Janesville.

The 50 degree high drought should end sometime next week, but it still has been over 14 weeks without seeing a 50 degree hight temp.

That is precisely why I left Wisconsin and have no plans of ever returning for anything but funerals and weddings!  I lived in Milwaukee and left for Colorado shortly after the temperatures were hovering around seventy degrees below zero (with the wind chill). It seemed as if the first snow that came in October did not disappear until May and ninety percent of the weather forecast for the year was over cast. Ah...then the lovely one hundred percent humidity summers with mosquitos as big as Chihuahuas and June bugs.  Did you know that Wisconsin is the third highest taxed state in the union?

It is time to relocate to better weather places. After all, do not forget...'It is your life!'

Tomorrow or Saturday may be the first 70 degree high day in Wisconsin in 6 months.

It warms my heart to hear that Wisconsin has actually warmed up!  I left Wisconsin twenty years ago for several reasons. We saw a spat of seventy below in January. The same snow that drops in November is still there in May only black and cruddy. Snow gives way to humidity and disgusting summers as well as bug infestations that make the swamps of Florida look arid. Wisconsin is the third highest taxed state in the union. I left when Milwaukee beat out Detroit for the dubious honor of murder capitol of the world.  I guess that is what those high taxes pay for!
