Did you play tag or hide and seek as a child?

I used to play both tag and hide and seek. Those were the good old days when kids played mostly outdoors with their brothers and sisters and all the rest of the kids from the neighborhood. I remember when the kids just used to come to our house and shout out for us rather than ringing the doorbell and then we'd rush outside to play. Also marbles and hopscotch and bike riding.

I remember playing both when I was a kid and now, I think back to those days and feel the children of today are missing out on a lot of "simple fun" we used to have.  Electronics and technology, while a good thing generally, can be a bad thing cause they don't encourage kids to "get outdoors" and play.

I used to play both also, those were the good old days.  We could not even stay in the house after doing our homework, it was go outside and play-no computer or tablet or phones.  We had Jacks and jumping rope and playing running games like 1,2,3 red light
Dodge ball and etc.

We used to play tag. In fact, we played what was called British Bulldogs! It meant you had to run from one side of the playground to the other without being caught by the Bulldog in the middle. If you were caught, you became a Bulldog for the next round. I expect you have the same game in the US, maybe you call it something different. Anyhow, that's what we used to play,... British Bulldogs!

Those are the games that bring back memories.  I played both tag and hide and seek and had loads of fun.

Yes.....the world was simpler it seemed then.We didnt even lock our doors going to sleep or fear walking home in the dark.

We can get a bunch of kids and go to a park or playground and play baseball too.

So different today.Sad......

Yes, It was a lot of fun back then and I still play it from time to time with my nieces.

Oh yeah played all games outside. We had no TV, did not even see one until I was 11. All of the neighbor kids played out side. Now on days you expect to see kids playing, nothing is happening. They are all too busy planning on there videos and texting on their phones.  Sure not healthy for them and we wonder why kids are so overweight. I would not let my kids if I had any sit and play on them all day. When my kids were not working on the farm and had some free time they would be out on their bikes or I would be playing baseball with them ( I broke the windows not them) and or basketball. They were slim and trim. Ate like field hands but worked it all off.

I think everyone played tag or hide and seek as a child.  Actually I still play Marco polo in the swimming pool when my son was about 2 which was just 20 years ago.  They are fun games to play and honest good fun.

We played both as kids.  We would play flashlight tag, there was a park in our development and in the summer all us kids would get a flashlight, go to the park, and instead of touching when you "tagged" them, when you shined the flashlight on them they were tagged.
